Adam Kowalczyk took over as singer of The Mint in early March this year. He's already recorded a couple of new tracks with the band and they've performed a few shows as well.

As to why Adam left Ed's band... I don't know... but as a musician wouldn't you rather front a band where you could express yourself freely as opposed to being an anonymous backup member of the Ed Kowalczyk show?

.it be cool if Adam played with Ed but fronting his own band is way better

dangum - Absolutely I would rather be able to express myself rather than being an anonymous back up musician.

zmanpga - I've been wondering the same thing: "Yeah you can tour and play my music but NOT be a part of the creative and recording process" ? ? ?

Thanks a lot "bro."

Well thank you guys and good for Adam for not taking the easier path and being true to himself. That takes considerable balls being that he's a family man now.
