Check out graciousfans.com as well.

Goddamnit i feel so guilty whenever someone mentions gracious fans. I think i made two posts there or something, but i just can't stretch my focus out for two message boards, i already spend too much time reading all this bullshit here as it is. Whenever i hear the name i get a guilt rush and bury it into my subconscious so i dont have to deal with it until it creeps up in my nightmares. I feel like im letting TGF down. Fuck it i let everyone else down in my life so why should i stop now

hi toph!

Thanks to everybody! smile.gif

About TGF, initially, when I only heard one or two sample tracks (30 seconds of Appetite and Honest Man, I think), I was not really convinced. I was afraid that it was maybe too rock for me and I was not sure to like Kevin's voice. Then I get the album and I was rapidly conquered! First by the second part of the album (after "Crying Time") which is a little softer, then by the whole of it! And I do not get enough! It is always in my car! It's the same with SS that I can also listen again and again!

I found on this forum that I'm not the only one that wish a more edgy sound for the upcoming Live album! A little sad that it cannot be done with the original formation. I hope Chad, Chad and Pat have made the right choice for the new singer, and that they will work on their songs as they have done to TGF.

Of course, I also wish a new TGF ! nod.gif

Sadly I think for Zman is that Nick sold this board, when he was in total control it seemed like people were just wanting to leave him by himself here so everyone wanted a new home. Then Dan took over and whilst everyone still hates Nick, the need to find a new home seemed to vanish. I feel guilty too because Zman put heaps of work into it and I keep forgetting about it, but having the same conversations in 2 different places is a bit meh. If Lakinisjuice.com starts up though then I'm not gonna feel sorry nervous.gif

Hi everybody,

My name is Ryan and i'm from the Netherlands.
I'm a huge fan since 2006, i know it's not a long time, but i'm happy i've discovered the music of Live.

I like the Throwing Copper album the most, but i like every Live album (Yes, SFBM too).
I also like Ed's solo album and TGF.

I've never seen Live in concert, i'm really dissapointed about that, I hope CCP and Ed wil reunite soon! if they will not make music together in the future..i was born too late, i think....

If you have any questions, feel free too ask smile.gif

Apologizes for my english, i try my best, but i'm not a native English speaker.

Greetings from Holland,

Ryan.

Welcome to the board Ryan! If there is Live news you can expect to find it here first. Out of curiosity, what are your favourite songs by Live? Also, your english is so good I wouldn't have assumed you were anything but a native speaker.

Be sure to check out the multimedia section; dig around and find the rare tracks thread and get all the rare unreleased tracks for free smile.gif

I never formally introduced myself to the board and all fine folk! Im Bill, some call me "The Thrill" just a name that was given to me a long time ago and it has stuck. Please do follow our company on Facebook at www.facebook.com/thinkloudpa On this page you can keep up to date on what Chad, Chad, Pat & I are doing in our redevelopment efforts. Although LIVE has been on hiatus one thing has remained and that is each of them continue to give back to their communities and to the world. Be it with Ed and his focus on World Vision and helping all of the famlies his charity has helped or Chad, Chad & Pat going into the poorest neighborhoods in the USA and helping to revitalize them and give families living in poverty a decent safe place to live and raise their children! Currently we have over 500,000 square feet of property under renovation with more on the way!
You have to commend all 4 of them for the work they have done outside of the music.

here herer! seems it isn't as most people would say 'all about the music', but much more than that. they are at the end of it quite a bunch of decent giving human beings... who happen to like to fight like schoolgirls about lunch money

Hi all, my name is Sal - I'm a brand new Live fan, my husband is teasing me saying I'm about 17 years too late lol

So anyway I fell hard and fast in love with this band.

I accidentally came across the MTV unplugged sessions on you tube while watching Chris Cornell's solo stuff about 3-5 months ago.  Then about a month ago I said to my husband "check out this amazing performance I've been listening to at work " he told me that our friend has been covering Lakini's Juice in his solo shows for a while now (I loved it and didn't even realise it was a cover song.... Yes I'm a noob and not even denying it!) so I searched YouTube and found that freakin' incredible mind blowing Woodstock '99 performance and promptly emptied all my husbands cd boxes until I found Secret Samadhi and Throwing Copper.... Loved it and went out and bought more,  I've even got the live at paradiso DVD.

I also like Ed's solo stuff and I'm not even Christian lol

On a more personal level it's been 8-9 years since I've played music or even been interested in picking up my guitar, this weekend just past I've learnt to play 3 Live songs - I've never felt so inspired.

I'm excited to hear the new Live stuff.

Ok so in summary I'm a noob non Christian  who obviously has her husband to thank for a lot of things and cringing thinking about the flame to follow this post lol

:-)

Hi Sal! Welcome to this message board and thank you for joining it. I hope you enjoy your stay. Please stick around and share your love of Live and experiences with us as this band moves forward!

May I ask what 3 songs you learned to play that inspired you?

Welcome aboard Sal, watch the board tonight as Live unleashes a new beginning with a new singer. It's going to be hard and loud and harken back to old days.
