I know I stole this topic from SOY, but I think it would be good for us to get to know each other a bit. Maybe then we won't be so nasty to each other when we disagree on nonsense. (I'm guilty of this as well).

I'll start: My name is Nick Sacco and I've been a Live since 1995. My first concert was 2000 show in Hershey and I've seen them 20 times in total(21 will be in Orlando if the weather and planes cooperate).

I'm a health, phys ed teacher, and football coach for a high school in NJ. I usually like my job but just like anything else there are many days where I'd rather stay in bed. I've lived with my girlfriend for the past 3 years and she's nice enough to tolerate my Live obsession. She's been to 15 Live concerts herself and never really gives me crap for spending money on something that I enjoy. (She has a Train obsession, so I always am willing to go when they came around or we can afford to travel).

My other interests are wrestling, movies, Disney, amusement parks, and a big TV/computer freak. Hope I didn't write too much.

Anyone else want to go?

My name is Elise and I am 36 years old. I have been a fan of LIVE since Mental Jewelry back in 1990. Saw my first show in 1993 and have seen them about 15 times. I am a stay at home mother, my son is mildly autistic and has presented many challenges for me and my husband. The music of LIVE has been an escape too large to even measure for me. I believe only true music lovers can understand that feeling. It doesn't really matter what kind of music you love, but I have realized not everyone is moved by music the way many of us on this board are. Probably the reason for so many of the fights here. Music lovers are very passoniate as am I. I thank LIVE for the keeping me company during my greatest triumphs and many of my defeats. My husband is pretty awesome about letting me take off to go see the boys, he accompanys me when he can but lets me travel with friends the other times

I am currently back in school to get my Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and I love the UFC!!!

welll, i'm the next...

My name is Einnar, i'm from México and I've been a Live fan since 99. I saw the video premiere of Dolphin's Cry and i said "man, that guy is amazing, everytime that he sings that song, everyone gets wet... jesus, i'm wet...." jejeje, i'm just kidding, but seriously, I fell in love of Live.

I never went to any concert... but i hope that soon... maybe the next year...

I'm a songwriter and the voice in a band called MAS (you can listen our work in www.myspace.com/somosmas or www.myspace.com/einnareslivebat), a drawer of comic books, industrial designer, fitness instructor (spinning and Pilates) and a big fan of The Joker (Batman's nemesis)

I loved all the movies of Tim Burton and i hope that soon i'll start to study cinematography in the university, UNAM (the best university of México and latin america) I live in Mexico City.

Actually we (MAS) are in pre production of our first album with an independent Label called Artefacto

and that's it, nice to meet all of You!!!

Einnar

ah i read that and at first thought that i was the youngest one on the board, but then i checked ... haha i'm only one year older! how 'bout that, im not the only person in their teens around here.

Introduce myself? my name's Kristof, i was born in Germany but currently live in Australia, love music, rain, driving, reading, playing bass and acoustic guitar, more music and my friends; i also plan to study mechanical engineering once i finish school at the end of this year. more than i can type here obviously, but heres a place where you can find more about me www.myspace.com/gas_hed

I'm also a major Live fan, back in 1995 my dad bought Throwing Copper, which i didn't first listen to until 1997, it was the first cd i had ever listened to and i haven't turned back since lol.gif living in australia, and in north queensland, it was always difficult to go see them perform, but i was lucky enough to go see them last october here in Brisbane! loved the show so much ... and i got to meet Chad T! front row centre for the show, hehe. Definitely seeing them again if they ever tour Australia once more, and hoping that they will release yet another great album!

also worth noting that my favourite Live song at the moment is Waitress, and it changes by the minute, almost literally

Well, it seems I'm next.

My name is Pablo, I'm from Argentina and I live in Buenos Aires. I'm positively sure of being the "number 1 Live fan" here in my country! hehe lol.gif I listened Live for the first time in 1995, I believe in an old borrowed cassette that had "Lightning Crashes" on it. I got mad music.gif and went to buy "TC"... and any album since then.

I'm 29 and I work on an advertising agency as a creative copywriter. I'm happily and recently married, have no children but one of the craziest siamese cats ever. I love watching movies, specially horror; reading, and hearing any kind of music. Obviously, english is not my mother language lol.gif

Some of my favourite international bands/artists include: Live, Soul Asylum, Radiohead, Tool, Collective Soul, Manic Street Preachers, Fountains of Wayne, Orishas, REM, Molotov, Morrissey, Offspring and Rage Against The Machine. All mixed up! hehe guitar.gif

Some of my favourite Live songs (in cronological order, it seems): "Pain Lies on The Riverside", "Tired of Me", "Selling the Drama", "I Alone", "All over you", "Shit Towne", "Waitress", "Insomnia & The Hole in the Universe", "Merica", all at TDTH, "Nobody Knows", "She", "The Sanctity of Dreams", "Sweet Release", "Out To Dry", "Mistery", "Show", "Where Do We Go From Here", "Home" and "You Are Not Alone".

Mmmhhh what else? I write, I love french fries, I run and I'm listening "Merica" at this moment.

Cheers!

I've had the pleasure of meeting many LIVE fans but since there are quite a bit of new-comers here, I'll introduce myself...

Hi! I'm Tina. hi.gif I live in Philadelphia and have been a LIVE fan since 1993. My next LIVE concert will be my 30th show. I was hooked after an ex-boyfriend lent me his Throwing Copper CD. I quickly returned it to him and bought my own copy along with Mental Jewelry. Each new album followed as it was released. I've been hooked ever since I heard The Damn at Otter Creek start playing in my CD player and I fell in love with Selling the Drama. Along the way, I've met many friends because of this amazing band. That might be the best part of it all. smile.gif

Hello guys and gals my name is Jeremy a 28 year-old graduate student and unemployed school teacher (really a long story, needless to say small town politics sucks). I've been a +LIVE+ fan since 1990 (I was a junior high student) and my best friend Nate (RIP) was listening to Mental Jewelry. I asked to take a listen on his CD Walkman and needless to say I was hooked. Nate has now been dead for nearly 4 years, but the memories of past +LIVE+ concerts with Nate live forever in my mind. My wife, who goes by TaylorsLoveSlave on here, is a total convert to the music after her first concert last year in Reading, PA. I myself have been to 15 shows (I believe) and I plan to see as many as possible this spring and summer. The music of +LIVE+ brings back great memories and has aided in creating many of the best moments in my life. I spent nearly 10 years of my life working in the media (Radio DJ, Newspaper Reporter) and with my background in journalism I'd love to write an in depth history of the band, from the fans perspective. So if anyone out there has stories to tell send them my way at irishstunner@yahoo.com.

My name is Fredrik. I'm 26 years old and I live in Uppsala, a city just a couple of miles north of Stockholm, Sweden. I first started to listen to LIVE after seeing the video for The Dolphins Cry on MTV and then got forced to listen to Throwing Copper by my cousine. But it wasn't really until I heard The Dolphins Cry the second time that I really enjoyed it. Got out. Bought TDTH and loved it. And then I started to listen to the other albums and loved them.

LIVE is ultimately my gate-way band into more alternative music. I didn't really enjoy a whole lot of music when I grew up. It was Metallica and Guns N Roses ... and Nirvana (but only because everyone else liked it ... I just listened to understand why =)). Now I like singer/songwriter music, alternative rock and kind-of-none-overproduced-melodic-shit. And I love covers as long as there is something new compared to the original. Favorite now is Chris Martin and Michael Stipes version of Joseph Arthurs song "In the sun".

I'm currently studying masscommunication and will hopefully have a degree in 1,5 years (finally!).
