Also, were you drawn here from J. Sax's Facebook group?

Nope. Simply out of curiosity, I was surfing the net for anything about Live (which is a pain, if u know what I mean tongue.gif) and came across this Live Palace. U guys are now my second family.

And I really have to get into this Facebook group... wink.gif

Hello everybody!!

After having surfed this board for a while, I decided to join you guys and here's my introduction!

My name's Jolanda, I'm 31 years old and I'm from the Netherlands.
My first intro with Live heads way back to 1995, when I saw the videoclip "Selling the Drama" on MTV and I completely fell in love with the sound..
Few days later I bought Throwing Copper and uptil now it's been my all time favorite cd, and always will be, I guess..! ;-)
I first saw LIVE performing at the Torhoutfestival (Belgium) in 1997 and boy, that was awesome!! After having seen this gig, I considered myself a LIVE-FAN!! rockin.gif

Like I said, my all time favorite CD is Throwing Copper, but I also the others, with Birds of Prey and Secret Samadhi as my second and third faves. I've seen them about 9 times now; most shows in Belgium and ofcourse in Holland. Best show I've ever seen was Ahoy, Rotterdam '06!

Apart from Live I love listening to REM, Staind, Nightwish, Tool, Muse, Pink Floyd, Metallica, The Gathering, Placebo, Incubus, The Levellers, Flogging Molly, Creed, Radiohead and I also love Celtic/Pagan Folk, with bands such as Rapalje (from Holland), Faun (from Germany), Omnia (also from Holland), Loreena McKennitt, Silly Wizard, The Dubliners, etc.
Together with my fellow-festivalfriends I visit numerous historical and fantasyfestivals and that's great. This is one of my greatest hobbies..
But my number one hobby is photography; In January I finished the first part of my education principal photography at the Dutch School of Photography and in September I'm going to start with the second part.

Questions? Just ask..!

I am obviously new to this board, so I figure I should say hello. I'm Matt, 31, and I just finished grad school. Prior to my collegiate studies, I served 4 years in the Coast Guard. As of now, because I can't find a great job in my field, sports management, I am now looking on going to get my MBA this fall. I'm from the real "Shit Towne", Erie, PA. York has nothing on this mess.

Anyways, I've been a fan since around '92 and remain one of the most devoted Live fans there is. I've been to 7 concerts, including Woodstock '99, in which our tent almost was torched by rabid Limp Bizkit fans I'm sure. I knew there could be a problem eventually when about 100K people starting moshing to I Alone. Unfortunately I was right. Like a lot of you, it's hard to distinguish between what my favorite songs are from the band, but if I had to pick my top 3 I would say I Alone, Lakinis Juice, and They Stood Up For Love. Depending on my mood, that list could change drastically though. The boys have come up with too many great songs to not have some trump others on a given day. I'm hopeful to catch the band sometime this summer.

Nice to meet all of you.

Why don't you use your old name? It's still there.
