I'm Nedra. My friends call me Neds or Neke.

I'm a long-time music fan, in general.

I've bought and loved every LiVE CD from the beginning, but until fairly recently wasn't in a position to do concerts.

The reason I am here now?

Well, it's funny how the same music can speak differently to your heart than it once did...

In my younger days, Live appealed mostly for the messages of unease, frustration and anger at the current state of the world and some of the idiots upon it.

Now that I am older, and hopefully a bit wiser, I find it's the hope for change and a universal love/peace that draws me.

I look forward to "meeting" some of you and some LiVEly discussions!

Hiya, my name is Helen louise. I live in a small town called Petersfield in Hampshire.England. I've loved Live for what seems like a life time. Way back when Mental Jewellery was out. Im 38 years old and live with my partner who is called Mark. Ive got two sons aged 14 and 7yrs. They both play guitar and are total metal heads, which is great for me cause I hate any music like"Girls Aloud" or limp poop idol material.I saw the band at the astoria in london last year and it blew me away!
Im a full time head chef at a local establishment which takes up most of my time, as you can imagine. But I get out listening to local bands and music as much as i can. Music is the fabric of my life if I,m totally honest(well that and jack daniels.haha). Just glad to be part of this board, there are some really nice people on here. xx

Sure is amazing, I just wish I could talk about Live with more people. Not enough know of their existence, let alone their brilliance. no.gif

Hiya Merica, Glad to see another fellow Live fan over here. You are right there are not enough people (expecially in England) that know of the bands gift.xx nod.gif

Hi! I'm new to the site ... "hello to all!" hi.gif I'm SO slow when it comes to finding cool sites such as this but thanks to a MySpace "friend request" ... here I am! I hope to be enlightened by those who share a common interest of mine ... LIVE!!! And maybe learn a trick or two along the way!

Let's see ... basics ... I live in the Orlando FL area but am originally from Northeast Indiana. I'm 34, single, no kids (and really don't mind) and have worked in the radio industry for over 14 years ... right now, I'm in radio sales marketing and promotion. Most days I look forward to coming to work ... radio is cool, definitely has some perks, but it's a job. Since work occupies the majority of my life, my free time includes going to concerts, theme parks, the beach, hanging with family / friends (cold beverage in hand, of course), traveling the States ... or just relaxing at home.

I've been a fan of LIVE since 1994 / Throwing Copper days ... bought Mental Jewelry shortly thereafter, when I found out there was a previous album. And I of course own all the other albums too (and DVD's from the limited edition CD's). I saw the guys perform live for the first time in 3/95 - Ball State University campus. And had the opportunity to meet them in 8/97 - Indianapolis (radio meet & greet ... one of those perks!). Since then, I've seen them approximately 7 times ... I think there may be a time or two more when I was up north, but I don't recall (I'm old). Definitely 5 times since living in FL, 2 of which just this year!! I go through spurts. Something else will occupy my time then they come to town ... and I become renewed to the spirit of their performances!!! Their shows are full of energy - there's no on stage pagentry bullshit - just the guys ROCKIN out! rockin.gif I LOVE bands who can write and perform their own music ... and actually have some meaning to the truths of the world! And of course, there's the ROCKIN out on stage (did I mention that already?)!

Right now, I canNOT get enough! And I canNOT wait to see them again soon! Okay, that's enough ... I was a tendency to "talk" a lot! lol.gif

I thought it was about time I stopped lurking and introduced myself. My name is Christine. I am 25 and I live in Pittsburgh, PA. I have been a fan of live for about 12 years. I first heard Live on MTV, the I Alone video to be specific. It's an absurd reason why I starting liking them. Ed looked like this guy I had a crush on in middle school lol.gif The crush faded, but I absolutely adore Live. I am known for my huge Live obsession by anyone who knows me.

I have seen Live in concert 6 times and I have seen Adam solo once. I have met the band once and was a blubbering idiot to say the least, but it was still one of the best days of my life. I'm pretty sure I cried at some point lol.

I can't pick a favorite album because there are so many good things about each one of them. I can listen to any one of them straight through on any given day. Listening to Live always seems to put me in a good mood.

I am a single mother with a 5-year-old daughter. I work full-time as a customer service rep. for and insurance company, and I attend college full-time for Healthcare Admin. I also enjoy listening to Incubus, OLP, Fuel, The Clarks, and 30 Seconds to Mars.

I also think that the Kowalczyk brothers are pretty yummy =)

Hello everyone! I'm new to the Boards too. My name is Brian and I'm 29 years old living near Reading PA. I've been a Live fan since I first heard Throwing Copper in 1994 and so far I've been to 7 Live shows (it'll be 8 after Hershey in September). I really enjoying coming to this site to get the latest news and good conversation and hopefully now I can join some of the talk.

OK, I never thought I would say this but I am one of the older people in this forum. A happy cappy living north of NO, LA married for 16 years to my husband Jerry, a step daughter in NY, stepson in CA and a daughter Rachal who just had a baby boy, Zavian Magnus, on Aug 30th, I have pictures on myspace. We train racehorses and go to the four tracks in the state.

I have been a fan of LIVE since the beginning, lost track of them for a while but now love them more than ever. I went to my first show in NY on Aug 19th and will go to my second in NO on the 28th ( not long now). I like all types of music (most) and what draws me to LIVE are of course the lyrics.

Let's see, sushi mexican chinese, steak, southern food, red wine, Finlandia vodka, naps, family, LIVE and fans of LIVE, and winning horseraces - those are some of my likes.

The topic hadn't been posted on in a while, so I thought I might just put my info in.

My name is Derek. I am 19 years old. I'm from just outside Gettysburg, Pa. I'm in college at the moment, my second college actually, the first one decided to take away my scholarship when I quit wrestling. I'm a religion/history education major hoping to become a youth minister and teach in a third world country after I graduate. I'm a football player for a Division III team in Ohio, just a little less prestigious athletically then my former school, but anywho... I am huge into sports, I was an All-American in football and wrestling, but received an academic scholarship for high school and college, so I put the dumb jock stereotype into question. I am also very religious. I identify myself as Christian, but I rarely agree with any Christian denomination on a majority of particular issues.
I first became a Live fan when I heard Lightning Crashes when I was around 7, but since I was so young, I forgot about them about 30 minutes later. I became a true fan when I first heard Heaven. I went out and bought Birds of Pray almost immediately. I had the CD for about a year before I was heard Lightning Crashes on the radio. I had always loved the song and when I found out it was Live, I assumed I had just found my new favorite band.
I have only ever seen Live once, at the Rolling Rock Town Fair, in 2006 I think. It was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. I can only remember one or two times I had ever been that excited and had such an exhilarating experience.

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking out here for awhile and posting here and there, but never really introduced myself, how rude! After reading all of the other introductions I am a little embarrassed, to say that I really am a newbie LIVE fan, although I may be the oldest member on here. Somehow I missed LIVE during the 90's. I think I was listening to way too much Disney music, ect.. with my two young sons then. Even though my husband was working on the radio in Hanover and York PA. at the time and should have known about them. I didn't discover LIVE until Chris Daughtry sang their songs and they appeared with him on American Idol. I was instantly sucked in and asked my sons why I didn't know this band. They took me to the computer and pulled up some more songs and I was hooked. I ran out the next day and bought "Awake" and "Birds Of Pray" thinking they would be a good introduction. Of course, it was instant love and I had to get all of the other CDs immediately. Now I am a fanatic as are both of my sons (16&21) and as many friends as we could convert. My first concert was July 2006 in Reading, Pa. and have seen them 7 times since then. If I didn't have to work it would have been a whole lot more. Responsibilities suck! I am currently married and my husband and I are running a successful DJ service north of Baltimore, Maryland. We have the aforementioned two amazing sons, one in high school and one in college, a collie who is Queen of the house, and a growing colony of crested geckos (thanks to the older son). But back to LIVE, my favorite subject, I think that although I missed all of those years that you all spent loving them, I found them at just the right time of my life. I had been questioning so much about religion and life and their music just hit the right chord and got me looking at things in different ways and I am so happy it did! I have always loved music from The Beatles, to Elton John, to Black Sabbath, The Eagles, Journey, and lots of other singers and bands along the way. Right now besides LIVE, I really like Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. No other band or music has had the effect on my life that LIVE has. Their music speaks to my soul and each song sparks different emotions. I am grateful to have found this wonderful band and to be a part of this amazing group of people who share the same passion for them that I do. I hope you don't mind having a crazy old fart hanging around.

~Sue~

Hi - it's me, ISN (inverted supernova)

I'm a veteran of a few different music boards, but just recently really started obsessing about LIVE, so that's why I'm here.....I'm Irish (a colleen)......grew up in Asia (missionary school)......wasted a lot of time in London......had an interesting sojourn in Spain, and ended up in Australia with a beautiful baby boy......oh, boy, is he beautiful.......I live in Sydney - worked as a proofreader for the last three years, and am in between jobs.....hehehehe......I'm pretty witty, clever, and don't really mind profanity too much.......I'm privately pious and trying to learn more about how to be right and righteous......also I'm a mental case if you haven't noticed yet.......my life is certainly not tame as I've been to over 32 countries, and had 22 nervous breakdowns.......but now that I'm home, I expect everything will go swimmingly........I'm thinking about writing - I've written poetry......I have to read all the introductions.....but I imagine I'll get to know people gradually.......starting on a new board is like the beginning of a love affair, knowing it will all end horribly lol.gif whatever, that's me......smile.gif

Hello fellow groupies smile.gif

My name is Michael, and I'm a Live addict... lol.gif
Feels great to be part of a community dedicated to the most amazing band in the universe!! I'm 23 and I live in an igloo in "the great white north". I love polar bears, maple sirup, and LIVE!!!! No seriously, it ain't that bad... tongue2.gif I live near Montreal Ithe French part of Canada) and I'm currently a finance and economics major at Bishop's University. Live ROcKS!

Live has enabled me in many ways, I'm sure u guys understand. For some reason, I never got the chance to hop on the Live - TC bandwagon back in 94 (sort of a late bloomer). Life presented me with the TDTH album at the vulnerable age of 14; For the first time in my life, it felt like someone was communicating with the "inner me". 8 yrs later, I have grown and learned to appreciate each and every album for their unique essence/feel and multi-dimensional messages. Live ROcKS!! As for many of you, Live's music has definitely been a perfect complement for me through the ups and downs.

I have only experienced 2 Live concerts...One in Montreal and for the other I drove a few hours south to Manchester, NH last summer for the "Triple Play Ball Park Tour". What an earthshaking experience!! With the croud's energy and Ed's impressive on-stage presence, the connection is instantaneous!! 1hr30 of pure energy!! Looking forward to many more concerts (I actually check the site almost every day with my fingers crossed for a nearby venue...)

Live ROcKS!!! This place is awsome! rockin.gif

Peace

Hey, me too!

I also go to college and am young too. I am 20 and studying Anthropology and Archeology at the University of North Texas. Stick around this site, If you want any bootlegs or news about the band we are the best source.

Also, were you drawn here from J. Sax's Facebook group?
