The Eagles played a 3 hour, 34 track show a couple of days ago. The 3 surviving members of The Eagles were all born in 1947, which makes them 73 years old.

Sure, their touring schedule isn't as packed as Live's but if they can do it then why can't Live at least do 2 hours?

if they're making eagles money no doubt they would

... about their fans

They care about the fans who show up to the gigs that pay the bills. Unfortuntely the majority of those people probably have never heard of the song Photograph (for example) and never will... because they don't play those songs anymore.

The thing is, they could play the hits to satisfy all the general audience people who only know those songs and still toss in b-side tracks, covers, etc. But they don't. And they could also dump Loy and get back to the four of them hashing out ideas that Ed and/or Chad bring to the room, which is what I thought dumping Shinn was mostly about. But they seem like they've gone back to the same kind of working relationship they had before the hiatus/breakup that supposedly lead to the breakup in the first place.

I don't think they really care at all. They seem to put forth bare minimal effort in all aspects of what they are doing. Live is a show up, play, and collect the cash band. Just going through the motions.

Unfortunately, it’s tough to argue with any of that. Until they prove otherwise, the reunion has been a cash grab. That is their right, but very disappointing to those that actually care.

My sister and I loved Live so much when we were teenagers, saw them in the mid-90s and again in the mid 2000s and they were awesome. I saw a recent video of them performing, and must admit I didn't like it, because 'going through the motions' and 'cash grab' seemed like appropriate descriptions.

Obviously I don't know, but Ed's bonhomie seemed forced, throwing arms around shoulders etc, it seemed to me like Chad Taylor and Pat D weren't that happy, the body language wasn't great. Unlike, say, REM, who for all their big-shot-ness, on stage you could still see them make eye contact and smile at each other etc. You wonder if the band even talk to each other offstage, or if they just have their 'people' agree the setlist before the tour starts.
