He thinks Ed was basically Live. That's what he's saying. He should have gotten the lions share of the credit. The funniest part of all is he's out. He's out of Live. Get that Nick? He's out, there's a new signer, he's got no recourse to get back in. He's sealed his fate, burned the bridges, fanned the flames and now he's on his own. You can say all you want Nick. It should have been this way or that way. Try to rewrite anything you want. The cold hard reality is Ed needs to take responsibility for where he is. You should too. It's not everyone else's fault. Sooner or later you have to look in the mirror. Live is moving on. Live with Ed is no longer. Ed of Live is no longer. It's just Ed Kowalczyk now. Deal with it.

It's exactly what he's saying, he just doesn't have the guts to come out and say "I always was an Ed fan, not a Live fan" it's why he can't give a proper answer as to why he wants Ed back with CCP on a musical level without wrecking his entire argument. It's why he can't go beyond a weak blanket statement of "Ed isn't perfect" and explain how and why this is the case.
And now he's taken off again when he is pushed for answers.
Basically Nick is a knuckle dragging, oxygen thieving, spineless little worm. He wants to see Ed get as much money as possible to achieve some weird creepy fantasy agenda. He is not, was never a fan of Live. End of story.

You'd think he has an IQ of a gym teacher. His points are so dumb and idiotic that no one can agree with him. I agree. This thread should be closed.

So if Live was an entity for the four of them, how do you feel about them moving on with a new singer? Do you think their new album will outsell SFBM? The Gracious Few with Kevin Martin replacing Ed sold about the same as Alive in the US and didn't fare well at all overseas.

Touring wise, Live was always the four of them(and I would include Adam as a huge part of the band in that respect). Writing wise, Ed was the main force and deserved a bigger share of the pie than he received.

NExt question........next dead end. This has been answered my many here. Read the posts and blogs dillweed.

Closed, and still without an answer for those questions, and given so many chances.

Dan, this guy has made it CLEAR AS DAY that he is not and never has been a fan of Live, why the hell is he tolerated? What does he contribute besides rewriting FALSE history and announcing Ed gigs to an audience of no one?

The point is that all you heard on this board for two years is how Ed stole from his lifelong friends with a secret contract. What you never heard is that Ed's lifelong friends took advantage of a favorable contract signed in 1991, and allowed Ed to do the majority of their songwriting throughout the course of their career, but still collect 75 percent of the royalties while he only received 25(despite doing the bulk of the work).

Hey, buttman. The contract which was modified to fit Ed 70/30 was then tailored in secret to divert everything to 100%. True story, true crime.

I know what he did for a fact. I have friends in high places.

It all makes sense.

Ed's new EP isn't that great, its getting bad reviews and no one likes it all that much.

What does Nick do? He diverts attention from his beloved Ed and starts spinning shit about Live & CCCP.

Nick can't handle criticism and can't deal with anyone who doesn't like Ed or any of his pathetic heroes.

Thing is that it's not working Nick - we still hate you, we still know Ed is a criminal and all of his new music is shit. By the way, 100% of nothing is nothing.

I'd like to point out the obvious.

The title of this thread is "The Song Writing of Live".

It is not "The Song Writing of Ed".

I don't want this thread to close. This has been the most enjoyable and informative thread we have seen here in a very long time. Nick and his lies and bewildering false reality has gotten taken to the proverbial woodshed about 300 times in this thread and some really great points were raised. We are getting at the truth here people. It is an ugly, blood-splattered process, but the truth is coming out, as Nick's intentions fall to the floor...

I think Ed's EP is actually very good, and getting positive reviews from his fanbase. The one actual review from a website was very positive as well. I'M the Proof is also doing very well on Alternative Addiction.com charting high on the singles chart for the past month.

I can handle criticism, but no one here has been able to admit that Ed did the bulk of the songwriting for Live, and got shafted on the royalties by CCP. Did I expect agreement on this site, absolutely not. However, it is the truth, and people know it.
