QUOTE(Badman @ Nov 27 2012, 11:49 am) *

In Ed's head, he is talking about how he has changed from rock and roll excess to finding god/family. Many of us here twist it into him singing about how he has changed to become a guy who backstabs his friends CC&P. This is probably the clearest way I can explain it here for someone who is new to the board smile.gif

CCP had no problem taking 75 percent song writing credit and money for songs that Ed basically wrote 100 percent himself. I think that is a pretty crummy thing to do to a friend.

Yeah, when Ed sings "sometimes people change and I'm the proof," he isn't acknowledging/admitting the vast decline in his ability to write quality material... for example. He's talking about finding God which, incidentally, was probably the start of his decline. He traded the abilities he had for God. Threw his art down the toilet to spend his life worshipping a fairy tale. Well played, Ed. You idiot.

Right. How dare they each take the 25% that was agreed and in the contract from the very beginning. It's like they were founding members of Live or something... Fucking crummy bastards!

I pray to Ed's God that Nick at least has a sarcastic/asshole grin on his face and knows what he is writing is so fucked up.

It is crummy to get paid for something you don't participate in. They let Ed do the majority of the work throughout the band's run, and they took the majority of the compensation.

Then they sue when Ed creates a new contract that entitles him to 100 percent of the songwriting credit(which he deserved).

From the guy that called CCP enablers for "allowing" Ed to take control if the band. Not much of a hypocrite are we?

LIVE's contract ended with Awake. Do you feel it was fair for Chad T Chad G and Pat to have 25 percent songwriting royalties on songs that they didn't write?

A new contract where Ed would get all the credit and royalties for the music he created solo seems fair to me.

How's that apology coming along? Have you asked Ed about it yet?

Isn't it funny how if Ed did the right thing and nothing wrong, that he still had to do it behind everyone's back rather than in the light of day? And that it only came to light through a breakdown in communication months after the hiatus was announced. Surely if it was all above board and perfectly fine then a man with the integrity to RISE up and show everyone how strong he is wouldn't be making back room deals?
Yep, all the pieces totally add up, when you look at everything you see Ed and go "Yep, now there is a completely innocent man!" sarcasm.gif

Do you think it is fair that they got song-writing royalties for songs that they didn't write? And they are suing over SFBM song-writing royalties? Seriously?

Yes, if Ed agreed to it. He enabled them. lol.gif How do you know what they wrote anyway? We all know Ed tried to mute CT but did he write all the drum and bass parts? Doesn't matter anyway, he agreed to it. Your beef should be with him for "allowing" them song credit if they didn't deserve it in your mind.
