Found a collection of videos from the Ed [full band] show in Amsterdam. One of the new tracks is titled "Just in Time"

Thanks for sharing. Too bad this one isn't the same quality as the others.

Good sounding track. Nothing new on the musical front. It's the same songs, same type and feel. Nothing wrong with it. I don't expect Ed to give the fans something that sounds like Damn At Otter Creek or Stage anymore. It's today's stardard which (Daughtryesque) is not pushing anything new and exciting, and that is fine by me. Hence why I don't purchase today's music. It's decent music nonetheless.

I don't dislike it by any means. The lyrics are pretty generic but I havent come to expect anything else from Ed nowadays. The melodies seem pretty good and I bet it sounds great on record.

Hard to tell from that recording, but it sounds pretty predictable. Like others have said, catchy enough with a little melody to it, but doesnt sound like it has much substance. Generic with the lyrics and just a bit bland overall. Another "could have been on SFBM" track it seems.

Yes, though I recon Ed will have hit his target market square on the head with this one. Nick is probably blowing his load as we speak nervous.gif

Generic and uplifting, but it would have been a much better single choice than "Grace" in my opinion. It has a much better melody.

It still blows my mind how he writes the same damn lyrics over and over and over...

"I give you water, I give you wine..."
"Out in the desert..."
etc. etc.

Yes, I saw this song performed in Amsterdam yesterday, and it reminded me very much of SFBM. But as many others staed, I'm not hoping for Ed doing something experimantal anymore since Live broke up, so I guess we just have to enjoy them as long as they are nice tune. I recorded The Great Beyond too yesterday (well, a part of it).

Shut it off after 20 seconds. The same old garbage being hashed up over and over and over and over again.

TGF's music may be throwback to 70's classic rock, but that music was undoubtedly better than any crap like this.

Maybe Nick wants to argue now that bands like Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Who, Rush, Deep Purple and other similar bands were "generic" as he puts it. Wonder if he actually wants to argue that todays music is just "better."

Either way, really sad that Ed has resorted to this Backstreet Boy style of music. Sad thing is, I bet TGF outsells him 5 or 10 to 1.

Go see my post on the Like I Do Interview and if you hear the fan say to Ed, "I am not a fan of the band, but if all the songs are like that one, I'd buy the record". This tells you what could of been if we had more colalboration and less one voice.

I dunno....it just seems like it just goes on on the whole 'run to the water', 'the river' kinda watersongs... that always makes me wonder what the flippin fascination with water is all about.

Anyways... good to see Adam had some fun in the Amsterdam lol.gif

Not the 90s Live he promised in that interview but it's got a nice pop-y feel to it. Kinda catchy. Not gonna have it blaring from my speakers as I drive down the road though, nor does it make me any more or any less likely to buy his CD. Feels like it could have been sung by any other singer and it'd have been a completely invisible track on their CD. A bit strange not seeing Gracey behind Ed on the drums, I'm still not completely used to that.

Depending on how the CD mix sounds it might find a spot in adult alternative or christian rock as a more upbeat "You Found Me." I wouldn't hold my breath, though, it just sounds like a weaker song, something you'd find buried between "All I Need" and "You Are Not Alone."

WOW!!! omg.gif Im no sure what to say about that! I have liked everything I have heard from Ed's new stuff up to this point but that song is absolute garbage. Definately sounds like SBFM material. Maybe a leftover? Hopefully the album track will be diffrent but I have to say that song will be skipped when listening to the new album if it is remotely similar to that performance. .... and btw... its so weird seeing Ed perform with his new band. That drummer just looked like he was lost and was playing for the wrong band of something. I really like Grace, Zion, and Drive but this song is a dissapointment. Much like all of SBFM with a few exceptions. I hope we have not heard all the good songs and the rest suck like this one when we hear the album.

Holy fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

I heard: gimme the water, I'll give you wine.

I was like: awright, here we go..

Voice does sound tremendous. Ed does look fine.

The music is just fucked up as hell. No way out for me for now. Will sit and wait for the album. It still remains the most expected release of the year for me.

Along with TGF.

So we have Drive, Everlasting love, Grace, Zion, Just in time and Great Beyond so far. Well i am sorry to say it but i am happy that Live broke up and Ed is free to create his stuff. It seems that he is making SFBM2, perhaps a better polished one. If the samples through amazon are not any better than what i have heard so far i am not bying Ed's album. TGF rocks hard!
