Last night CS was way better than Live plain and simple. They had an off night for some reason and didn't seem to enjoy themselves at all. I saw both Pat and Chad roll their eyes quite a few times each. There was no movement from anybody, no stomping from Chad and absolutely no crowd interaction with Ed. He said not a word, not hello....nothing. He stood at the mike and sang basically. They did play shit towne which I had never heard them play before. They also played where do we go from here, which was a surprise. But they were completely flat the entire night. The crowd was the same for both bands, the difference being that Ed from CS got them going like crazy halfway through his set. Worst show I've ever seen Live play by far. This show lacked energy completely. It seemed as though they were playing because they had to, then left. The music still sounded great as it always has every time I've seen them. Lightning Crashes was way better than I ever remember hearing it. But there was no passion nor energy. If i were a casual concert fan, there would be no way on earth I'd be thinking that I'd go see them again.
