Best Live concert I've seen to date. The guys were clearly having a good time on stage. Ed's voice was in good form. Ed was very animated and he interacted with the crowd as well. They varied the setlist nicely. They included different intros to Lakini's Juice, Dolphins Cry, I Alone, and an extended, simply off the chart version of White Discussion. Its unfortunate that Live did not have this particular show professionally recorded, since this would've been the ultimate concert to have captured on dvd and cd. Ed mentioned during W/D that the next album promises to have Ed writing from an angry frame of reference. He said he's angry at how music on the radio sucks so bad. At this point in Live's career, we the fans have to take a what and see attitude. Overall, Live clearly saved their best performance for 2006 for last night.

Two days later and I am still basking in the glow of another amazing performance by Live! The House Of Blues is a great venue and the guys seemed pumped and ready to make this a really memorable end to a very long tour. Ed sounded fabulous and looked sexy and as beautiful as ever. He wore a beenie (it looked as if there were some hair under there) and a beard. Best of all was that his devilish grin kept popping up. Chad G., Pat, and Adam looked and sounded great as well. Chad T. had his hair really short, almost shaved, and wore a rugby shirt and a little cap. A different look than I've seen before. He seemed a little more reserved through the first part of the concert, then he had the night before. By the first encore though he was back rockin out! Ed was in rare form and talked more then in the past couple of shows that I've seen. It was fun - he really took charge and had the crowd in the palm of his hand all night! He said several times that if we keep calling they'll keep coming, hopefully dispelling some of the posts on message boards that this could be the end of Live's touring days. God knows they deserve a good long break, but will hopefully come back renewed and ready to rock our worlds again. Ed also suggested that perhaps the next CD might have a harder sound then they have had for awhile because he's pissed again and there was no good music on the radio anymore. Later he re-tracked that somewhat and said there was one song he liked and then proceeded to do an amazing version of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy". I am so glad to have been there, it was a truly gret evening. Thank you to Ed, Chad, Pat, Chad, and Adam too for giving your fans the best music out there. Your songs excite and inspire our senses and our minds. There aren't too many other artists doing that anymore. Wishing you wonderful, restful, fun, peace filled days ahead. We'll be waiting when your ready to come back.

It was one of the best Live shows that I have ever seen. Ed's voice was the strongest I've seen it in a long time. They all have their all and it was just an awesome show. The only negatives for me were the asshole groups in the left balcony starting fights with each other. It was pretty intense and distracting during Mirror Song and Turn My Head, and a Live concert is no place for that crap. Setlist was mixed up nicely and you couldn't pick what songs was coming next for the most part. I was a bit surprised that they didn't play the River, but they did play Mystery, Wings, Show, and Sofia from SFBM. They also played Pain Lies on The Riverside and Iris which were both nice surprises. Ed said it was their final show of the year and that the next album they do will be angry, because he's pissed that whenever he turns on the radio everything f^&* sucks. So good news for those who like an angrier Live. After tonight's show, I don't think Live is done at all, and I'm relieved. They seem like they can do this for another ten years, no problem.

Yet again another awesome show at the HOB in AC. Great energy from the band last night. Ed seemed a bit more fiesty than usual. Kinda reminded me of the mid 90's days. Sounded great, the crowd was a bit on the rowdy side for a Live concert. We had a fight start right behind us in the GA section. And had some guys giving everyone the finger on their way back up to their balcony seats, which I'm wondering if its the same guys who were starting fights up there. And seriously I thought Ed was gonna pull an Axl Rose on us. Leaving us hanging until 10:30 not cool haha. But the show was well worth the wait.

I can finally say this was a fucking fabulous concert. However, on the whole, I enjoyed the Nokia Theatre show in NYC in May a lot more. The songs were done better and there were two or three more songs, but nonetheless, this concert was great. The best news of the night was when Ed said that the next album would be an "angry" one because he's sick of all the shit on the radio...I'm liking this idea already! Another thing to add: I don't think they'll wait until 2009 to release their next record. It definitely won't be 2007, but I'd be willing to bet on 2008. Hopefully we'll get a few select shows next year to tide us over. Anyway, the highlights of the show were Pain Lies on the Riverside, Lightning Crashes, Wings, White Discussion (which seemed to go on forever! it was awesome), the part where Ed sang that Gnarls Barkley song, Ed's feistiness, and a lot of other things. Mainly the music though. I must complain about the HOB, though. I can't even begin to understand why everyone is so in love with this venue. It is SUCH crap. The people working there are absolute dumbfucks, and they really do everything they can to make things as far from easy for you as possible. And to top it off, it is in the king shithole of shitholes, Atlantic City. I could go on and on about the HOB and about AC, but all there is to it is that I won't be heading back there too soon to see another concert (of ANY kind). So, I guess a long period of Live nothingness is to follow. All I hope comes out of it is a re-energized Live (as in the V era or before) and an awesome new album. I'm more optimistic now than I've ever been before that Live can pull themselves together to make incredible music again. But for now, I'm content with seeing Live twice this year perform great gigs.

The Atlantic City show was my 19th Live show. I was psyched to head down to atlantic city for what I expected to be a great show. I was let down for many many reasons. I actually came on here to see if anyone felt the same, and I'm quite surprised to see people claiming it was the best show ever. I disagree for many reasons. First, and this has nothing to do with the band, but is definately a reason that I didn't get the show I was used to: it took us 6 hours to get to AC from connecticut. It's normally a 3.5 hour drive. This didn't really piss me off until after all was said and done. I blame the drive for landing me square in the back center (I'm spoiled - I haven't been further back than the 3rd row in the last 10 shows) under the ceiling lights. I've seen LIVE at the HOB before and I remember disliking the venue then, but not nearly as much as I hated it this time. How can you enjoy a concert when there are many many ceiling lights right in your face the whole time??? I kept thinking they were going to go out but they never did. Also, the sound back there sucked too!!! After the third song, I found myself wanting to leave. I have NEVER ever had these thoughts at one of their shows before and I would have bet anyone lots of money that I'd never have them. I couldn't stand it. What got me the most was the crowd, at least in the back. It consisted of a bunch of people standing around with their arms at their sides. Um, this is a CONCERT people - MOVE! How can you stand still when the best band ever is on stage? That's a downer right there. I got dirty looks when I tried to get into the music. I remember thinking to myself, "wow, it's a really good thing that they didn't tape tonight because this crowd SUCKS". I even felt that the band was getting this vibe too. At least thats what it seemed like from the back. Ed didn't seem as into it as I've seen him in the past. Maybe it's because it's the end of the tour, but because of that, I expected even more energy than normal. Now, as frustrated as you all are at me right now, let me tell you my dedication to this band: I've driven from Connecticut to Illinois and from Connecticut to New Orleans JUST FOR ONE NIGHT AT A CONCERT. Those 16hr and 22hr drives I'd do all over again for the kind of show that I normally see. I'm still in shock over this past friday nights show. I must admit that I couldn't take it anymore and actually left after LC. I still can't believe that I did that and neither can anyone that knows me. I love this band and I always will. I'm just trying to figure out what exactly happened the other night? My best friend and I couldn't put it together. We still cant. Maybe it was all because I was in the back. Is the concert really that much different back there???? Does anyone feel the same??? I'll leave it like this - one bad show out of nineteen isn't bad. I can't wait for the next tour to start. I'll be waiting for that front row.

This was hands down the best concert I have ever been to, regardless of the performers. Live has been one of my favorite bands for a while now, but this show solidified them as THE BEST! I was amazed at the energy they generated on stage and then used it to charge the crowd. The sound was amazing, and Ed's voice was so much stronger than the night before at Sonar. I had no voice by the end of the show from cheering them on so much. The song selection was great, some songs like Pain Lies On The Riverside, Iris, and They Stood Up For Love which were missing from the show in Baltimore were louder and better than ever at this show. My favorite part of the show was after the first encore the HOB turned the background music back on and the guitar tech came out and started unplugging stuff. Then Ed comes running out, basically shoves the tech backstage and says "Turn that f***ing music off! Last time I checked I was in charge of this show, and I say we aren't done!" The crowd went crazy!!! Then during White Discussion when he took a break from the song to tell us that their next album will be a lot more "pissed off," the crowd cheered louder and louder. I thought it was great when he started singing Gnarls Barkley "Crazy" to add a little something different. All in all, the best concert I have ever been to, and I can't wait to see my next Live show even though it may be a while before we get the chance to see them again. Guys, get your much needed rest, but please don't leave us fans waiting too long, lol. Take care guys, hopefully cya soon!
