The Adelaide crowd can really be a bit lame at times, I think that having it a seating gig to start with would of helped! It was the row directly behind me that were the first that decided not to stand so it was a little awkard until we made our way infront of the sound guys and it rocked! I had the greatest time there, even Shannon Noll was kinda ok. There was some awesome vibes comming from the whole band and the atmosphere was crazy. Eds voice was excellent and the rest of the band were top notch as well!

It wasn't long into the Live concert at the Entertainment Centre that lead singer Ed Kowalcyzk said "We thew out the setlist, we lost it on the plane." When you're a band that has released seven studio albums you can afford to mix things up a bit. There's certainly plenty of songs to choose from in the back catalogue. It's been 17 years since Live released their first album but for an Adelaide crowd soaking up every note, the band were more than happy to delve into their past. Riotous screams welcomed the band onto the sparsely set up stage, with song Mystery getting things underway. While CDs, or more appropriately for this day and age, MP3s are great to listen to in the car or at home, there's no replacement for a voice as rich and resonant as Kowalcyzk's. It brings to life these songs and energizes the crowd. Australia has always supported Live and the band paid the devotion back in spades playing for well over two hours, dropping in plenty of old tracks from Mirror Song to Lakini's Juice. But it was their breakthrough album Throwing Copper that got the most attention. Old hits I Alone, Iris and Lightning Crashes were all played with a sense of grand occasion, and Johnny Cash cover I Walk the Line rumbled moodily before crashing into an explosive rock coda. To close the night Kowalcyzk asked the Entertainment Centre to give themselves over to song Dance With You and become the "Adelaide Tabernacle Choir", a task everyone acquitted themselves to quite well.

Best show I have seen Live play in Adelaide. And why has no-one mentioned that Adelaide FINALLY got the "These Adelaide streets below the moon" in RTTW? Ed's screamed out "ADELAIDE! GET THE FUCK UP!" in Lakini's. But we've never had our streets below the moon before. I cried. I had a fucking ball. It was the furthest back I've been for the shows I've gone to on this tour, but fourth row still went off. Amazing! Pretty sure I almost died with the opening strums of Simple Creed, too. I went with my dad, and we both had an awesome time. Can't say too much about the people standing either side of us. Didn't seem to move around much or anything. Just stood there, arms crossed. There were a few people in front of us (so in the first 3 rows, in the centre section no less) that were SITTING DOWN. Couldn't believe it. Yeah, crowd sucked a little bit of arse. That is what you get for playing Ent Cent though. The crowd seemed a lot more into it at Thebby on the Awake tour. Shoulda played there again. Anyways.. Aside from a few issues with monitors, as at the third Melbourne show, the boys seemed to be having an absolute ball.

All I can say is what an amazing kick arse concert. This is the 5th time I've seen them and they just get better. The band have so much energy to give and looked like they were really enjoying themselves. I thought they might of played a few more songs of there latest album, but ahh well. The only small gripes I had were Ed seem to get drowned out in Simple Creed and struggled to get louder than the guitars. The other gripe was some of the crowd..... they just sat there with there arm crossed and not even moving or singing (how lame). But it was a great concert and I can't wait till they come here again... Thanks +LIVE+ p.s. Can you please release a +live+ dvd of the concerts soon.
