Once again, LIVE put on an amazing show! They were so great that I forgot that I was seeing them at my former high school... haha. I was really excited when they played "Voodoo Lady" because I haven't heard them play it since TDTH tour. After the show, they all came out and signed autographs!! Overall, an awesome experience in my hometown.

Overall I would give them an A- for the show. The crowd was not the best (including many people who were able to walk in free if they paid for the TR Fest going on outside as General Admission seating). The band sounded phenomenal. I have seen them many many times and overall this was probably a top 3 performance as far as pure sound goes. Ed's energy level was actually somewhat low for the first 5-7 songs and ironically enough started to pick up with Lighthing Crashes. They did have about 5-6 songs near the end where they absolutely rocked!! White Discussion was unbelievable and after it he actually asked the crowd if he should go on (I honestly think they might have called it quits at that point). I was disappointed, as were other people I know that they only played one song from MJ, and Wings (which they used to play earlier in the tour) was not on the setlist. I guess we can not have them all right? They did stray from the setlist on the sound board, which included Beauty of Gray, Shittowne, but so it goes. All in all as I said, an A- overall. I was at the Starland Ballroom (the most recent time I have seen them besides this) and that was an absolute A+ show, all around. I cannot wait to see them again.

Just got home a short while ago. Thought the show was very good (got the chance to take my daughter to see Live for the first time - she loved it!). Ed is definitely still having vocal issues; he was the total professional throughout the night, but you could tell that he was unable to hit a number of high notes. The band (mainly Chad T and Adam) did a great job pitching in with the vocs where they could. But you could hear the strain as Ed tried to hit the chorus on I Alone, and he just went downstairs on a number of other tunes. During Lakini's Juice and Voodoo Lady, Ed passed on dropping the 'F' Bomb (he said during 'VL', 'Hey, we got little kids in here tonight' - which was accurate, as this was a 'family' festival; no alcohol, no smoking on the school grounds - the Arena is simply the high school gym). Everyone sounded tight as always. No pulling of random girls named 'Sophia' from the audience tonight. I don't think they abbreviated the set list due to lack of energy in any way. Rather, the festival had a closing time of 10 PM, and there was a fireworks display scheduled immediately after the show. I'm guessing here, but I think they hit the stage around 7:40 PM, and wrapped up about 9:15 (roughly a 90 minute set, with encores). Disappointing to see that there were so many empty seats in the side bleachers. But with today's heat, perhaps a number of folks just didn't have the energy to make it through the whole night. Saw one woman leave from up front of the stage area perhaps 4 songs into the set, carying her infant (I don't know what some people are thinking). The band wasn't overly loud at the onset, but they got it cranked up by the end of the evening. Saw some guy just in front of me ask for (and
get) the set list from the soundman at the back of the arena. The festival called for parking off site, and being bused back to cars. Saw the tour buses in front of the gym entrance at the end of the night (around 10:30) and know that I saw at least Pat
and Chad T outside, taking pictures with fans, signing autographs, etc. I think they were out there with some members of The Breaks (the band which opened tonight). Don't know if the other guys were out there as well. Wanted to go over with my daughter to get an autograph or a pic, but didn't have a writing implement (or anything to sign), and I unfortunately have been battling a flu-like bug since yesterday, which kept me from going over. Can only hope I'll get another opportunity somewhere in the future. Buses wanted to get out of there, but had difficulty due to the way the lines for transportation back to cars snaked around them. I think eventually, the police had to hold people back to let the buses out. All in all, another great performance by Live; but as others have said elsewhere, I really think Ed needs to rest the vocal cords. At the rate he's going, he cannot possibly maintain this hectic of a schedule (and haven't these guys been out on the road since late summer/fall of last year?) Thanks for allowing me to offer my thoughts and observations.

I hadn't seen Live since The Distance to Here came out, so I was very excited, especially since I was able to get floor seats in such a small venue. There seemed to be a lack of energy in the beginning but it picked up quickly. I thought it was really cool that they allowed the fans to take pictures. The band was really tight and I think that this show was definitely better than when I saw them back in 1999. I can't wait to see them again.

The concert was amazing!! You could really tell that Ed had it toned down a bit, but he still rocked out! I loved the fan interaction afterwards, since most bands wouldn't even think to do that. I got a hug from the brothers and had them sign a setlist. It was so cool to be that close to them. Can't wait till they come back to Jersey!

LIVE was absolutely amazing tonight! I wasn't sure what to expect with this being a family festival, but LIVE totally exceeded my expectations! The setlist was great, Walk the Line sounded awesome, great to hear Mirror Song in concert, all the classics were sweet as ever, and the energy level during the encore was amazing! I rushed up to the front row during the encore and it was amazing to be so close to them! Ed's energy during White Discussion was unbelievable...he was just tearing around the stage! Ed sounded and looked amazing! Patrick, Chad, Chad, and Adam were all phenomenal tonight! They totally rocked out! They all charged up the atmosphere of that tiny little gym! I was hoping to hear Mystery, Iris, Wings, and They Stood Up for Love but the setlist (which I got a copy of plus one of Chad's guitar picks) was great regardless! Although there were some changes like adding in Sofia which I absolutely love and taking out Beauty of Grey and Shit Towne, but Ed was trying to keep it PG rated for the crowd which had alot of little kids. After the show the guys were all out by their tour bus to sign autographs and I got a chance to take pics with them...so an awesome experience to get to tell them thank you for being such an inspiration! Overall, this was a five star performance with a really personal atmosphere because you got the chance to be so close to them. I can't wait to see them again this fall! This concert was one that I will never forget! Thank you LIVE for such an amazing and unforgettable night!
