If they weren't asked to stop at 11:50 pm, they would still be playing :) One hell of a show. Great songs. Great band! We all want to dance with you LIVE! Minor details - Ed had voice problems, because he didn't sing the high notes in some songs, and after every song they "stopped".
Review by Jean-Paul Smets of Holland
One of the best shows of LIVE I ever saw. LIVE wanted to thrill Holland, and they did. The show lasted over 2.5 hours and LIVE just wanted to dance with us (Holland). They did and we all danced with LIVE. The sound was great, a very beautiful, subtile lightshow and everybody on stage was thrilled to play Holland again in Ahoy. Just look at the setlist. Need I say more?

What an amazing crazy dutch night. I've seen Live in 1999 and 2001. But this concert topped both. The band was in great great shape. I was standing at the 4th row. They started with simple creed and then I realized that it was going to be non standard night. I've got too much too tell, but i was definetely hoping for rattlesnake and shit towne ... and finally i got it. Oh man what an amazing night. Lots and lots of old tunes. Even mirror song and beauty of gray where still sounding like back then. They band really didn't want to stop playing. Ed said "we're being shut down!" but he wanted to play lots more songs. But after 2 hours 30 min the night came to an end with the superb "dance with you". The dutch crowd was singing their own version we wanna dance with you. What i really noticed was that the band really really enjoyed themselves. Chad was pumping up the crowd and ed had his charismatic attitude. Thanks live for still giving me this great feeling. The albums are not that cracking anymore but the performance was really the best i've seen from the group. Cheers and see ya next time!

I've read the other reviews, but I have to disagree.... I'm sorry, but this was the 6th time I went to Live and I've seen better shows. Sound was ok. The crowd wasn't really getting the vibe (but we weren't in the arena)and my opinion is that the band looked a bit tired. They didn't pay any attention to the crowd that wasn't in the arena, normally they do. Normally when they do Lightning crashes, everybody sings along, now it was all so soft... The come backs were to soft, why don't they really rock when they come back? Save I alone for then, and everybody will go insane! The wide awake cover wasn't good, everybody covers U2, stop that please! And what has already been said, the new albums don't have the sound they used to have. Far to soft. But hey, after all, we had a nice night, but not far as good as we're used to! We've had doubts to go to Amsterdam, reading that review, we are disappointed to have chosen Rotterdam!

It was the first time I've seen Live on stage and it was so so great. Of course I knew their songs from the earlier albums, but also the newest ones were great. The band had a fantastic interaction with the audience, and I had a great great evening, standing at the 4th row I had a amazing view at the band. What a superb setlist, they played everything I hoped for and more. Thanks Live for a amazing night in Holland, hope to see you soon again.

It was an amazing show - thats my opinion. It was the first time I saw Live and what an energy and power. I had a great time and I love the new cd and yes it is a different sound - they have to try a little change sometimes otherwise it will be boring. I hope to see Live again!

The show was not of this earth... I'm still on cloud 9... Ed's voice, amazing... Chad's stomp, overbearing... Pat's love for Holland (those who've been there know what I'm talking about), adorable... Gracey's drumming, violently good... and Adam, WILD!!! (and dead cute). Some old tracks, some new, and an overall good vibe if u ask me!! Can't wait to see them again!!!

Cloud nine indeed, now were talking, and the whole day I wanna talk about it how great it was. But then again when I listen to the songs now, I know that its over, tomorrow they are goiing back to America and we must wait a few years :(

I had my very own Live tour that would last for 3 days. This review is about day 1. My Live tour kicked off on Wednesday, 28th of June. Me and my boyfriend arrived somewhat after 8 pm in the Ahoy, but it was fairly easy to find a good spot in the crowd. It wasn't completely sold out. We ended up close enough to the stage to have a good view. The band got on stage around 9:30 pm and started with Simple Creed. A surprising, but good song to open. It seemed like the majority of the audience needed time to warmup or something. For a Live concert everybody was pretty calm and it took them until the second encore to loosen up a little bit. But maybe I'm spoiled after the Paradiso-gig with almost only crazy fanclubmembers. :) It didn't seem to matter to the band. You could see and hear them enjoying and they played 27 songs in about 2 ½ hours!!! I particularly loved to hear Mirror Song, Iris and Rattlesnake, because I've never heard those songs performed live before. During the Paradiso-gig, Sofia (from SFBM) really got to me. But this time it was Show. To me that didn't have anything to do with the fact that Ed took his shirt off at the beginning of this song. ;) They just really rocked! It was a great show! I got home around 1:30 am (due to a traffic jam at night!) and was looking forward to the next day - the Heineken Music Hall show!
