Tonight I went to my second Live concert (the first one took place in a different venue here in São Paulo in 2001). Anyway... I had an amazing time. I think nothing can beat the energy of a concert, specially with such a great band. But let's get down to business.
Unfortunately Birds of Pray was very recently released in Brazil and not many people knew the songs. Ed said at one point at the concert that the first time he played here there were 300 people and tonight Via Funchal had a crowd of 6000 (on Saturday they play in Brasília and I think this number will increase a lot.. too bad I won't be there )

When they played some of the old hits (The beauty of grey, pain lies on the riverside, Dolphin's cry, run to the water, I alone,...) all 6000 mouths produced a single voice.. it was amazing to be part of it. Heaven ans Sweet release are my favorites and I will never forget listening to them live.

The show ended and I gotta say that it was disappointing that they didn't play Operation Spirit. I mean, it's very rare a Live concert here and not performing such a wonderful song was frustrating.

Besides that, I had an amazing time (well.. I love the band so much that even if they played only "Happy Birthday" I would still think of it as a very good show).

It was the best concert that I saw. The crowd was so amazed, and Ed looked so happy! The audience was livened up! They played the best songs of album Birds of Pray. Chad Gracey, my fav, was perfect, played very well, and Ed seemed extremely happy. Each song transmitted this happiness. The song that "turned my head" with certainty was White, Discussion, therefore the first show that I was, they hadn't played this song. Its leaves me satisfied and happy. It was one of the best nights of my life.
