Review by Patrick ("MercifulOne") of Montreal, Quebec
We (me and 2 friends) left for Quebec City at 1pm, and arrived at 4pm, checked into our hotel, and went straight to the venue by 6pm. We ate at the same restaurat Live did before the show - we saw the "LIVE - CATERING" sign pointing up the stairs to the second floor of the restaurant. After our dinner we just hung around the restaurant, and really without any effort, managed to meet the entire band before the show!

Chad Taylor was on his way in to eat, and stopped to take a picture with us, and chated for a few minutes. We told him we were going to see him the next night in Montreal aswell, and wished him a good show. Very nice guy. Next we spotted Patrick, who was hilarious! We asked him how he enjoyed the restaurant, and he said something like "I dunno...it was spaghetti." We asked him for passes, he said "I'm just the bassist..." Took another picture, asked for a ride back to Montreal on their bus...he said he might have to ask a few people first.

As if that wasn't good enough, Ed and Chad Gracey came out of the restaurant next! Chad Gracey really didn't seem to want to have anything to do with us, but he did atleast smile for a picture. Ed was awesome, it was cool to have his attention for a minute or two. Adam came out next, we had our picture taken, but I gotta say that the fame has definately gotten to his head.

So the show started at 8pm, Emm Gryner opened up and played for the first half hour, then a half hour stage change, then LIVE!!

I told myself that I wasn't going to shit my pants when they started the show with Like I Do. And luckily I didn't. That song is just insanely amazing, so much excitment. The first half of the show was good, but the second half was when the crowd really got into it. From lakini's Juice on pretty much. I have to say I'm not a huge fan of their new 'intro' to Lakini's Juice. The song looses it's 'beginning power.' The I Alone "Like a Stone" interlude kickes ass, fit very nicely. The first song of the first encore was a huge surprise. I wasn't expecting any setlist changes from what I had been reading online. Ed came out and did Turn my Head acoustic. It was beautiful. The best I've ever heard his voice sing that song.

We could feel the energy building throughout the last 3/4 of the show, and we all knew they would be coming back for a second encore. the chairs were banging, everyone was screaming, and sure enough, they came back. Ed told us "We're just going to keep playing till you're quiet" (or something like that) And then it happened - WHITE, DISCUSSION!! It kicked so much ass, the energy was insane. Live at their best, in my oppinion. Taylor was loving it so much, you could see him backstage after the song still going insane screaming and with his arms in the air.

The show was well worth the travel time, the money, and the rain during the show. And knowing we got to do it all over again the next night made it even more exciting.
