Review by Graham ("9lives")
I was at Live's performance in support to Bon Jovi in Dublin (Ireland, not Ohio! last night.  I was offered tickets to go to BJ a few days ago and turned them down but when I heard yesterday morning that Live were supporting, I re-snapped them up!

A bit of history on Live in Ireland - they don't have one.  It was their first visit (acknowledged by Ed on stage) and they are one of those bands who would only be recognised via their brief MTV Europe success in the mid-ninties.  I loved the "Throwing Copper" singles but only started buying their albums in 1999.

They came on stage about 6.50 (BJ came on at 8pm) and played about 40 mins.  The set list included the 3 singles from "Throwing Copper", 'Dolphins Cry' and a few songs from "BoP" - 'Runaway', 'Heaven' and I'll assume they played 'Like I Do' and 'Lighthouse' as they have been in their other setlists - my album hasn't arrived from cdwow.ie yet!  Sorry I don't have a complete setlist but I'm not great on song titles (the curse of minidisc!

Clearly there were Live fans in the audience, people like me who came mainly to see them.  When Live came on stage there must was a good few thousand already congregtated and a small percentage of them were familiar with the music.  They received warm applause after each song but by the end, they had everybody dancing along, hands in the air - an amazing reaction considering that few would have known the songs (although there must have been some recognition of "Lightning Crashes" such was the enthusiastic reaction to it).

I'd love to see them in a small venue (this outdoor venue  holds 35,000 or so I'd say).  Hopefully Ed will keep his promise, and they will be back
