New article on Live's upcoming "best of" compilation
Billboard Magazine has posted a new article regarding Live's upcoming "best of" compilation to their website. In addition to the details already known about the compilation, the article notes that the DVD will feature an album-by-album commentary by Ed Kowalczyk. Also, for those interested in sales figures of Live's latest release, "Birds Of Pray", the article notes that 266,000 copies of it have been sold so far in the United States to date (according to Nielsen SoundScan). * posted september 29th, 2004
 
Official info on Live's upcoming "best of" compilation
Live's upcoming "best of" CD/DVD compilation will be titled "Awake: The Best Of Live". It will be released Worldwide on Tuesday, November 2nd. "We Deal In Dreams" will be the first single in support of this release, and will be released to radio sometime in October (more info will be posted as it becomes available). This compilation will come with a 14 page fold-out booklet with glossy photos and comments by the band. Check out the Lyrics Section for a picture of the cover art, as well as a tracklist of both the CD and the DVD. Hollywood concert footage taped for upcoming DVD release
According to fan reports, footage from tonights concert at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (the first of 2 back-to-back concerts at this venue) was taped for Live's upcoming greatest hits CD/DVD release. In search of Zeta Sessions setlist, reviews, recording
Earlier this afternoon, Ed performed an acoustic set at the 94.9 Zeta Sessions, held at Levinson Jewelers Theatre in Miramar, Florida. This performance was broadcast live on Miami's 94.9 Zeta radio station. To view a bunch of pictures from this performance, please visit 94.9 Zeta's website. Tickets to second Hollywood concert sold out
Tickets to Live's second show in Hollwood, Florida (at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino) have sold out. As mentioned in a previous update, tickets already sold out for the first concert, which will take place on September 20th. I have posted a bunch of new downloads to the site recently. These downloads include: the June 10th, 1998 concert held at the Chameleon Club in Lancaser, Pennsylvania; the December 14th, 2003 concert held at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia; the June 6th, 2004 concert held at Coors Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, California; the June 7th, 2004 concert held at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, California; and a recording of the Secret Samadhi Concert Broadcast (which is a professionally mastered recording). Greatest Hits CD/DVD compilaton to be released November 2nd
At tonights concert in York, Ed mentioned that Live's greatest hits CD/DVD compilation will be released on November 2nd. The greatest hits cd will contain 17 tracks, including "I Walk The Line" (a cover of Johnny Cash's classic hit) and "Dealing Dreams" (an outtake from the "Throwing Copper" era). Live performs high energy show to hometown crowd in York
Live spiced up tonights setlist at the York Fair, adding songs that haven't been performed in awhile, such as "Pain Lies On The Riverside", "Pillar Of Davidson", "Operation Spirit", and a hometown rendition of "Shit Towne". Live to tour the world in support of Greatest Hits CD
Chad Taylor was interviewed this evening on the 6 pm news broadcast of Lancaster's WGAL 8 television station. Chad talked about the release of Live's greatest hits cd (which is due in stores later this fall), mentioning that Live will be kicking off a new world tour in support of it, which is slated to begin early next year. Today's edition of the York Daily Record (published in York, Pennsylvania) features another new article on Live. The article is about whether or not Live's success has hurt or helped the music scene (including up-and-coming bands) in the York area . Live's concert performance featured on the Sounds Like Trio program (from May 31st, 2003 at Forest National in Brussels, Belgium) and Live's performance of "I Alone" on Saturday Night Live will be re-aired several times over the next couple of weeks.
