Train to support Live on upcoming Australian tour
MTV Australia is reporting that Train will be supporting Live during their upcoming Australian tour in December. Tour dates, which have yet to be officially confirmed, are expected to be announced soon. (The Triple M radio station in Australia will be having a "big Live announcement" in early November, so the dates will most likely be announced at that time, if not announced on FOL before then). * posted september 29, 2003
 
Brasilia concert to be broadcast live tonight!
Live's performance tonight from the Brasilia Music Festival in Brasilia, Brazil will be broadcast live on Brazil's 89 Radio Station, and streamed online on their website. The broadcast will start at 10:30 pm EST. To listen to a live stream of this broadcast, click here. If you live in Brazil and receive this radio station, PLEASE record this broadcast! Heaven video to move up to #11 on new VH1 Video Countdown

I have added mp3's of "Heaven", "I Alone", "Run Away", and "The Dolphin's Cry" from the airing of the "Experience Presented by Sony Ericcson" program (aired tonight on the VH1 network) to the Featured MP3 Section. Heaven rises into top 10 and enters yet another Billboard chart
"Heaven" entered into the top 10 on Billboard's "Adult Top 40" chart a week ago at #8 (and is expected to move up to #6 on this weeks chart). "Heaven" has also entered Billboard's "Top 40 Tracks" chart at #34 (songs on this chart are ranked by audience impressions). * posted september 16, 2003
 
Live to tour South Africa in November
Friends Of Live have confirmed 3 tour dates for South Africa in late November. Live will be performing on November 22nd at The Dome at Northgate in Johannesburg, on November 25th at the Exibition Center in Durban, and on November 28th at Bellville Velodrome in Cape Town. Tickets for all of these dates go on-sale tomorrow morning, September 17th, at 9 am local time (links to purchase tickets are located in the Tour Section). * posted september 16, 2003
 
New Band Of The Week feature added to site
I have added a new Band Of The Week Section to the site (as well as a new Band Of The Week Forum to the message board). This new section will feature downloads and a fair amount of info on the current featured band. The first band to be featured in this section is "Ours". Perth tour date slated for early December
According to The Sunday Times newspaper, Live will be performing at Challenge Stadium in Perth, Australia on December 3rd of this year (thanks to Daniel of Perth for this info). However, this date has not been officially confirmed, but expect tour dates for all of Australia to be announced by the end of the month. * posted september 14, 2003
 
Heaven continues its rise up Billboard Hot 100 chart
"Heaven" has risen 5 spots to number 72 on this weeks new Billboard Hot 100 chart. If "Heaven" were to climb past number 42, it would then be the highest ranked song Live has ever had on this chart ("Selling The Drama" is currently the highest ranked song Live has ever had on this chart, having peaked at number 42 on it back in 1994). * posted september 14, 2003

US Tour may be postponed until next Spring
A Fall tour of the United States is "unlikely", according to Jimmy Lang (who runs the official FOL boards). He mentioned that "it won't be until early next year or even Spring". However, Live will be touring 4 continents in the meantime (believed to be South America, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia). * posted september 12, 2003
 
In remembrance of the September 11th terrorist attacks
Today marks the second anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks in America. In remembrance of this fateful day, I have posted the Overcome Video (World Trade Center version) [right-click to download] to the site.  I have also added the World Trade Center remixes of "Overcome" and "Lightning Crashes" to the Featured MP3 Section. Heaven enters Billboard Hot 100 chart
"Heaven" entered "The Billboard Hot 100" a few weeks ago at number 79. This chart is comprised of the most popular singles and tracks (in all musical formats). More info on Sony Experience Concert featuring Live
As mentioned last week, Live will be featured on a new program to be aired September 16th on the VH1 network called "Sony Experience Concert". Along with live concert footage from the September 8th Seattle concert, there will be a brief story on Live and the hits that made them famous. This program will also be re-aired 3 times after the original broadcast. Dates and times of these re-airings have been added to the TV Section. * posted september 8, 2003

According to a press release on the Business Wire website, Sony Ericcson and AT&T Wireless will be teaming up to offer an All Access Contest. This contest gives the winner a chance to tour with Live, as well as interview them and hang out backstage, along with many more cool prizes. Live concert to be aired on VH1!
Live and 3 Doors Down will be featured on VH1 on a new program called "Sony Experience Concert". This program will feature concert footage of Live performing from the September 8th Seattle concert (along with concert footage of 3 Doors Down).
