Watch Ed in an upcoming re-airing of "Fight Club"
As you may already know, Ed Kowalczyk had a cameo in the movie "Fight Club" (from 1999) that featured actors Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. Ed played the role of the waiter at Clifton's. For those of you who haven't seen this movie yet, it will be re-aired tomorrow (November 29th) and Tuesday (November 30th) on the FX network. MTV Unplugged concert available for download
Live's historic MTV Unplugged performance (held on February 15th, 1995 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City) is now available for download. A week after this performance aired on MTV, "Throwing Copper" (which was released 12 months earlier and hadn't even entered the Billboard 200 chart) skyrocketed to #1 on the Billboard 200, and catapulted Live into the mainstream. It was a defining moment in Live's career. This concert (which was never officially released) still remains one of the most popular and most requested of Live's bootlegs to date. Adam to perform acoustic show in Melbourne
Adam Kowalczyk (Ed's brother and touring guitarist for Live) will be performing a solo acoustic show on December 3rd at The HiFi Bar in Melbourne, Australia. Admission to the show (which is restricted to those 18 and older) will cost $15 (AUS) at the door. Doors will open at 7:30 pm. (Source: Adam & The Weight). * posted november 15th, 2004

New date/opening act announced for Australian tour
A concert in Newcastle has just been added to Live's upcoming Australian tour. Live will be performing at the Newcastle Civic Theatre on December 1st at 8 pm. Tickets for this new date will cost $75 and go on-sale on November 16th at 9 am AEDST via Ticketek. Also, the opening act has been announced for the Australian tour... Awake's debut on Billboard 200 chart
According to final estimates on the Hits Daily Double website, "Awake: The Best Of Live" will debut at #50 on the new Billboard 200 chart. First week sales for Live's new compilation album (in the United States alone) are estimated at a little over 21,000 units. Interview segments with Ed on Triple M radio station
Various interview segments with Ed have been airing on Australia's Triple M radio station over the past week, in anticipation of Live's upcoming Australian tour. When asked about Live's new "best of" album, and whether or not it signifies "the end" for Live, Ed said it (the "best of" album) was a celebration of what they have achieved so far and not "the end". Ed also mentioned that Live will beginning work on a new album very soon and hope to have it finished by the Spring of 2005. "Awake: The Best Of Live" has debuted at #4 on Australia's official Top 50 Albums chart. The album attained Gold status within its first week (with sales of over 35,000 units). To view the complete chart, please visit the ARIA website. Also, "Awake" is currently at #3 on Holland's Top 100 Albums chart in its second week (last week it debuted at #57). Australian Television to broadcast Tonight Show performance
Australia's Foxtel television provider has announced that next Tuesday's episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (that will include Live's performance of "Lightning Crashes") will be broadcast next Wednesday (November 10th) on The Comedy Channel network at 10:30 pm, and again 2 hours later (12:30 am) on The Comedy Channel +2 network. New MTV Unplugged compilation to contain Live song
"I Alone" will appear on the "Very Best of MTV Unplugged, Volume 3" compilation, which will be released next Tuesday (October 9th) via the Universal International label. As well as an audio cd, this new release will also contain a DVD, which will also feature Live's performance of "I Alone" (from their 1995 MTV Unplugged performance). Chad Gracey interviewed on Australia's Triple M radio station
Chad Gracey was interviewed today on the "Freq Show with JR & Wilco" on the Triple M radio station in Adelaide, Australia. In the interview, Chad said that Live will be performing "We Deal In Dreams" at upcoming concerts, and that they will be re-learning "I Walk The Line". He also mentioned that Live plan to begin work on a new album in January or February of 2005. I have posted the complete interview to the Recent Live Stuff section. New website in support of Australian tour
A new website has been launched by some Live fans from Australia in support of Live's upcoming Australian tour. Before the tour occurs, the site will provide such features as fan meet info, city and venue info, and accomodation info. Once the tour occurs, there will diary entries, pictures, and reviews posted to the site daily.
