March, 2003 News

Monday, March 31st, 2003
"Friends Of Live" have confirmed that the release date for "Birds Of Pray" will be on May 19th for ALL international countries. I will be adding an excellent quality mp3 of "Heaven" to the New Songs Section later tonight. I have added an image of a scan of the "Heaven" promotional cd to the Album 6 Section. Setlists and reviews from all of the concerts this past weekend have been added to Setlist & Review Section. And "Alligator Online" has added a new review to their site, from the March 22nd concert in Orlando, Florida (thanks to Cole for this link).

I made a recording of the broadcast of "Heaven" (aired on "105.7 The X" in York, Pennysylvania yesterday evening), which I added to the New Songs Section (thanks to Greg of "AU Publishing" for hosting this file)! As announced in an update on Wednesday, the release date for LIVE's new album, "Birds Of Pray", has been pushed up to May 20th (originally sheduled for May 27th) in the United States. The release date (for the new album) in Holland is now slated for May 19th. I was searching the "Collegiate Times" website and came across a cool review from the March 24th concert in Blacksburg, Virginia. Setlists and reviews from the March 26th concert in Hempstead, New York and the concert last night in Lincroft, New Jersey have been added to the Setlist & Review Section (setlists and reviews from the concerts this weekend will be added to this section as they become available). And Tom (Tropez) sent me a link to another cool article on LIVE, which is located on the "Music Gear Review" website. Have A Nice Weekend!

I have added the new LIVE logo (to be associated with the new album) to the Album 6 Section. According to this article (which is in dutch) on the Universal Music website, "Birds Of Pray" is slated to be released on May 19th in Holland. Setlists and reviews from the March 23rd concert in Norfolk, Virginia and the March 24th concert in Blacksburg, Virginia have been added to the Setlist & Review Section. If you visit this page on the WMMR radio station website, you can listen to song samples from 5 different bands, one of which will be opening for LIVE at the March 28th concert in Philadelphia. After you've decided who your favorite artist is, you can vote for one of them on the main page of their site. The Live Lounge Newsletter (Issue 83) was sent out this evening... if you haven't subscribed yet, subscribe now! And with 56% of the votes, the majority of voters think the new live recording of "Like I Do" is EXCELLENT.... full results of this past weeks poll are located here. Make sure to vote on the new poll posted below!

As announced in an update yesterday, I received an e-mail from officials stating that "Heaven" has NOT been confirmed as the first single off the new album (and may or may not end up being the first single), as it is just a rumor as of now. Even though the concert on March 30th at Dickinson College (in Carlisle, Pennysylvania) is sold out, you still have the opportunity to win tickets off the campus radio station. Starting on Monday, March 24th, certain dj's at the station (WDCV) will be giving away tickets to this concert. Please visit the WDCV website for details on the exact times and dates that they will be giving these tickets away (this station also has a streaming broadcast, for those that don't live in the Carlisle area). Tickets for the March 26th concert at Hofstra University (in Hempstead, New York) have just gone on-sale. You can purchase tickets at the box office on campus, or by calling 516-463-6633. And "Adam & The Weight" will be holding a cd release party this evening at the "Key Club" in Los Angeles, California. Their new cd, which is titled "Looking Up From The Ground", will be available for purchase over the internet soon, so stay tuned for more details.

Chad Gracey announced that "Heaven" will be the first single off of the new album, and is expected to be released for airplay to radio stations around mid-April (this news courtesy of "Gracey Notes"). However, this is NOT confirmed by FOL or management, so this may not end up being the first single afterall. A pre-sale for tickets to the May 2nd concert at "Music Midtown" go on-sale this morning at 10am. This pre-sale ends tomorrow at 10pm... regular on-sale for these tickets will go on-sale Friday at 10am. Entries for the Cover & Remix Contest must be received by this Sunday, so make sure to go your entries in by then! I will begin adding the links to the mp3's from the 11/22/02 concert at "Trump Marina" in Atlantic City, New Jersey to the LIVE Concerts Section as soon as I get some of them uploaded (this concert is not of the best quality, but has never been surfaced before). The Live Lounge Newsletter (Issue 81) was sent out today... if you haven't subscribed yet, subscribe now! And the current poll will be extended until next week... according to the current results, the majority of voters (54%) LOVE the title of the new album ("Birds Of Pray").
