I like cats. My roommate had one in college and I loved her to death. Even when she kept me awake crying outside my door. And, even when she hissed at me when I tried to get her to stop hitting me with her tail when she was sitting at the top of the couch. But, dogs are better. Sorry.

i've never been much of a pet person, but little nells has me wrapped around her little paw. i do NOT like to be woken up early...comes from motherhood...but even her poucning on me in the wee hours is cute....for the moment that is

Oh yea, they'll train you real well. Ruby (my doxie) has me so wrapped around her paw. She tells me when she wants me to lay down so that she can cuddle up and take a nap with me. She won't even let me type on the computer if she wants to take a nap.

She won't eat her food in the kitchen unless I'm in there. So, what do I do? I bring it in the living room so she can be by me.

She's sooo spoiled. But, she's my best friend, so that's ok. She listens to me when I talk, and doesn't interrupt. She does kinda talk back when I yell at her though. I tell her to quit biting me, and she barks at me and keeps biting. Oh well, gotta take the good with the bad.

Awwww - now these are my idea of babies - four legs and fur! Nelly looks just like the cat I used to have that when she was Nelly's size used to sleep with her head on the pillow, her body tucked under the covers and her little 'arm' neatly on top of the covers like something off a cartoon.

And is Ruby a standard or mini? My friend has several minis and they are really tiny. My male dog would inhale them if he gave their backsides a sniff! Mind you, he is on the large side.

Ruby is like 1 pound over a mini. She's 12 lbs and the official maximum weight for a mini is 11 lbs. How big is your dog?

He's about 28" tall to his shoulders and weighs about 100 pounds at 20 months old - he'll probably be about 140 pounds when he's fully mature. So he's sort of St Bernard sized. The funny thing is he isn't that big to me because I'm used to him, but everybody else thinks he's huge.
