My girlfriend and I are probably going to see NIN at the house of blues this coming saturday (march 11th). We're a little short on cash, and paying the tickets and gas for the 6 hour drive, and two nights (friday and saturday) in a hotel is all a bit much for us. I'm just wondering if anyone here might be willing to let us stay with them for one/both of those nights. It would just be my girlfriend and I. We're just trying to save a little money, and any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone lives even an hour away, we might be willing to stay there for a night. So, yeah. Anyone?

Awww...that sucks. I won't be home this weekend or you could have stayed with me. You know I'm about a little over an hour from AC. Hopefully someone closer can help you guys out.

It's ok, tina. We're probably gonna end up getting a hotel in philly for friday night, having breakfast with my friend there saturday morning, going to the show, staying in a hotel saturday night after the show, and meeting up with a couple of my friends in Baltimore on our way home sunday. We're making a bit of a trip out of the whole thing. It would be cool to get to see you again (you're so nice!). Maybe some other time.

I was going to offer you the option to crash at my pad in PA, but figured you'd have better options than a 2 1/2 drive.

If you do get stuck, let me know.

or

Check out atlanticcity.com (best place around to get relatively cheap AD hotel rooms, even weekends)...have had good experiences using the site

Oh, and we have better pot in PA/NJ than WV...enjoy the show...

I'm sure, and I'm jealous...but I'll trump you with the seeds my buddy brought back from Amsterdam a few years back (unless, of course, you've been to Amsterdam)

Smoking right now...oh, wrong thread

if you stay in Abescon, NJ it's way cheaper. We stayed at the Comfort Inn last weekend, it was $99 a night. It's like 3 miles away smile.gif

I just got a reservation for saturday night at a courtesy inn about 20 minutes away from the house of blues. I plan on getting to the venue pretty early, so...what is parking like in atlantic city? I really don't wanna have to take a cab too and from the show.

and cos...no, I've never been to amsterdam, so you got me beat there.

park at a casino for sure...(I believe the HOB is the Showboat, but whatever)...you'll pay anything from nothing up to $5 for unlimited time, and it's clean and safe...and close to where ever you want to be...I can't see why anyone would ever park anywhere else in AC

sounds like a classy joint, esp given your stated budget restraints and locales I know of 20 mins from AC...but if it has a bed and a shower, who really gives a fuck?!...

Yes...definately park in the Showboat Casino's self park. Last Saturday night I parked in 3 casino parking lots...2 of them were $4.00 and one was $5.00 unlimited time. That's your safest and best bet. thumbsup.gif

Have a blast!!!!!!

Cool, I'll definitely park in a hotel lot. This show is going to be fucking pimp. The debate I have going on in my head right now is...should I get before/during it? Part of me wants to (as I've never been high during a concert) and part of me doesn't. Thoughts?

Mcpheezy: do you ever read reviews before booking hotels? Courtesy Inn's are pretty bad so I checked on tripadvisor which I usually do before I stay somewhere. This one only had 1 review, and just so you're aware, here's the review: Courtesy Inn
Hope you don't get a disease staying there! wow.gif tongue.gif

If you can cancel, there's always priceline. 3* hotels right in downtown are going for $42. In case you don't know, here's a tip: Before I bid, I always check BiddingForTravel, a priceline message board, for recent bids. And if you click on the first sticky thread there, scroll down to Atlantic City, and it shows the list of priceline hotels. If priceline accepts your bid, you're guaranteed to get one of those.
