Well last night, FM97 here in Lancaster did a promotion and had Shinedown play 5 songs at the Chameleon acoustically for V.I.P's only which my girlfriend counted like 37 people there so it was a nice small crowd. I got in at the last minute. My mother works for the hotel that they stayed at last night and actually met their manager. She told him how much of a fan I was and there I was, going to the show. Only Brent and Jasin played which was totally cool. They started with "Shed Some Light" then the other four were Burning Bright, Save Me, 45, and I Dare You. They talked for a lil while between songs and interacted with the crowd which was nice. The songs sounded awesome and of course Brent is the man....he makes me jealous I only wish I could sing as good as him. After the show was over they came back out and signed pictures and took pictures with everyone...it sucked I forgot my camera in the rush to get there URG. I wish I had some pics to show. Anyway I just figured I had to rub it in to all the Shinedown fans on the board tongue.gif

cry.gif I wish you had pics too. Thanks for rubbing it in. Yeah, thanks a lot seeing as how I'm still waiting for them to hit NYC cry.gif
I would really love to hear Brent's voice live rockin.gif
And if Kenny Chesney has a fan base here and just played a show then why the hell can't Shinedown.

I tried to win tickets to that and didn't! Fucking contest shows! I hate it when the real fans are left out because of some stupid radio contest! At least someone that was a big fan got to go. It sounds like it was very cool. I would have loved to have heard them acoustic, I'm sure I would have had goosebumps. Hell they give me goosebumps when they are plugged in. Also cool that you got to meet them. It's funny the first time I saw them they were opening for 3DD, who I hate, but I went to see Tantric who was the second opening band and I was so impressed with Shinedown that I went out to the merch booth to buy their cd. The entire band just happened to be standing there. What are the odds that they would pick the merch booth right outside of where I was sitting? So I bought the cd and got it signed on the spot. What a great introduction to the band, eh?

I've met Brent again since and he is such a nice and down to earth guy. Have I ever mentioned that I love this band?! I'm so pissed that I didn't get to see this show. angry.gif Thanks for the review!

Yeah 45 was fuckin' amazing. He gave the story behind it, saying how he might not be here if he didn't write it. It pissed me off though because there were like 5 people behind us who just yapped the whole time so he's up there going over this pretty emotional moment and all I hear behind me is yap yap yap urg.....but yeah it was awesome.

Also I'm jealous you're going to see Seether!! I'm going to see them in Philly on 9/1 with Staind and Three Days Grace I can't wait I love all 3 of those bands but Seether is definately my second all time favorite band. If you haven't seen them yet you are in for a treat they definately put on a great show? Are they playing an acoustic set or plugged in? I heard there were going to do some "One Cold Night" shows where they play acoustic.

OMG~i would've lost it had i been ya with all th jibber jabber during "45"!!! That is one of the most emo beautiful songs, imho, and to talk during it is like chatting during PoD!!!! silly peeps!

tee hee....i will think of ya while i am seeing seether. it will be my first. they are playing "Rockfest" along with alice in chains, evans blue and buckcherry. i highly doubt it will be an all acoustic show since it is touted as a real loud, live, beer drinking, get crazy show...CAN NOT WAIT!!!!! 8 sleeps to go!!!

Ugh!!!!!!!! There is NOTHING in the this world that annoys me more than people that will not shut up at shows! I went to a show last night and it seemed like most of the people went to socialize instead of listen to the music. Stay the fuck home and let us enjoy the show!!!!!

I had heard that story about 45 before. Music really did save Brent's life, I guess that's why he is so passionate about it and so eager to share his own music with other people that might be affected in the same way.

Mollie, no tummy rubbing is only for Hugo and Joel. But I did get a really nice handshake and I should show you my picture with him, it's one of my favorites ever. He is a soft spoken Southern gentleman. You would never expect that from what he is like on stage.

Wow...sooo jealous. I got to see a free Shinedown show after their first CD came down. We got there really early and we were right up against the front gate. They were just AMAZING. So much passion. rockin.gif
