For me, this is the worse album for Live. I'm a singer so vocals is the most important thing to me and on this album, Ed does nothing to make me go wow.gif happy.gif I gotta try that like on other albums. Its just so lukewarm and boring. I really tried to like it but I'm sad to say I don't. Nothing really grabs me and stand out. Thank God for Sophia though, it is the only thing that saves this album.

I must say though that the songs sound 10 times better in concert. And that I'm looking forward to the next album. Hopefully it comes sooner than later. Live should seriously think of going indie. I refuse to believe this great band is contented to release lukewarm pop songs. I know they can do so much better.

I agree with you that no songs on the album make me go "WOW". Usually there are some songs on Live's albums that blow me away. But here, I see none that are just way out there. That was the only thing that bugged me about it. I feel the songs are pretty much consistently good, but none are epic to me. I love the album, but there are no standouts compared to other albums for me.

See this is what bugs me. How can you say you love an album that doesn't have any songs on it that make you go "wow." I just don't get that. The reason that I used to love Live is because most of their songs made me go "wow." I find it impossible to find a song on SFBM that does that for me. Why are people just so willing to settle for something that is so inferior to what Live used to be capable of? When I say that I love an album it is because there are songs on there that blow my mind. I can't even come close to even liking this one. Music to me, should be mind blowing, if it's not, why the hell bother?

I think for me, no matter what Live put out, I would buy it and listen to it anyway. I feel dedicated to them, because they've given me 7 wonderful studio albums I love dearly. They're my favorite band, and no matter what, I will buy their music.

I still love the album, even though there are no epic tracks on it, because I feel it is consistently good, with only one or two AMAZING songs. I can still love it, I just feel that this album doesnt have many groundbreaking Live hits, as some others do. It's still great, just...consistently good, instead of good songs and some GREAT ones, making it not one of my favorite Live albums. I still love it, but...just not as epic as their others.

A great example would be Jack Johnson.

He's a great singer, musician and lyricist, but it's not mindblowing music. It's just damn good to listen to.

Same with SFBM.

Yeah I hear you there. I do like Jack Johnson and you're right about his music. But that was never the reason that I loved Live. Their music was never just "good music to listen to." It was always so much more than that and now it's not.

Sorry for making that negative post, I had a few drinks last night and decided to speak my mind. It won't happen again. I had forgotton that's not allowed unless you worship this band.

Eh, don't worry about it. I take more heat speaking my mind here than anyone else. I keep promising myself to stop doing so, but then I do it again.

i still cannot say i love this album although I like it quite a bit more than at the beginning. there are still three songs I skip. anyways, its not going to get dusty in my CD-case - I often listen to it in my car. as someone said before: its not LIVEs brightest album, but its good listen to it.

my five cents ... victory.gif ... _manu.
