Welcome to the club.

I sometimes wonder whether all the Live related items I've collected have been worth it. Still collecting - I purchased a tour poster from 2006 on the weekend.

Make sure you post pics of the tape once it arrives and maybe produce a nice pure source rip too. thumbsup.gif

How much is this thing worth? I have been watching it on Discogs for years, and I had a "get it, you only live once" moment.

As soon as I get it I am taking to a place a few miles away and paying to get it ripped to WAV and I will convert to FLAC. They have done a few others that the audio is only available on cassette (Fuel - Small the Joy, Rusted Root Christ Monkey, and a Toad the Wet Sprocket fan club cassette).

As friendly as you have been sharing tidbits all these years, I will definitely send to you to share. I have pretty darn good sounding rips already, but I am weird about paying for it to get the best quality, and the ones I paid for sound very good.

I purchased an unplayed copy of The Death of Dictionary from Adam Taylor for $550 + postage in 2010. Here's photo from back then. https://postimg.cc/mcp7WbX9

I heard zmanpga was trying to sell his original copy of DOAD on Facebook. He started bidding at $500. Not sure if anybody bought it.

I got it for 140, and someone got it a few months back for 75. So I felt like I got ripped off, but hey, willing buyer.....

Wow, prices have fallen. I guess there aren't many Live fans around these days.

The seller's name was CTaylor69 and asked me if I was interested in fiber optics. Weird.....

Is that the same guy that was trying to sell a burned CD of Churchbox for something like $300 because he was done with the band?

Got the cassette yesterday. Here's the artwork - I digitally edited it, made it square, took some liberties on the bottom left corner and the distance of where Public Affection was in relation to the original artwork. Overall, not too shabby.

Finally got the cassette ripped on my vacation and picked it up an hour ago....I can easily say this is the best rip of the cassette that exists (or at least that I've heard). When compared to what I thought were the best rips out there, this blows them away. No longer does it sound like (Z)ed(d) is a high and whiny teenage singer.....this sounds so much more like the band. At first I thought the company who transferred the audio screwed it up, but I think the copies out there were done by someone who sped up the transfer. This was well worth the $20 to convert, as I feel this is a significant change to my ears.

I am trying to get it uploaded so it can be shared - so do me a favor, DON'T PM me! As soon as I can get shared here, I will do so.

Reminds me of my childhood. Me and my brother were HUGE Oakland A's fans. Managed to get all sorts of thing signed by Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire (the Bash Brothers). Even got a card they were both on signed by both of them.

Then Canseco became a complete weirdo and disgrace as did McGwire. Value of all of our stuff tanked.

LOL.
