Nice song that started to grow on me after I had listened to TDTH for along time.
Looking back in 2006, I think it is a song with a nice theme and really good (and also beautiful) lyrics

"even scientists say, everything is just light
not created, destroyed but eternally bright"

Loved this song from the first listen. Still do. Its just a fun song. Probably not the best song on the disc but its close.

The crowd usually goes nuts when they play it during the show too.

I love it! TDTH's lyrics are overall increadible impressive and beautiful. I can never write a song about love (or an uplifting song for that matter) without sounding like a boy-band wannabee tongue.gif

Good song probably about mid-list for me of all Live songs. Altough in I absolutely love the song in concert. It really does feel like you are in some kind of church service with everyone throwing up their arms during "they stood up for love". Awesome.

I absolutely loved it years ago .. it's still nice but it's shine has worn off a little. I do really love the lyrics to it, but as far as a concert song goes I think it needs to take a bit of a hiatus to make way for some rarer things.

I think the studio cut is decent, but I didn't TRULY appreciate the song until I heard it in concert. Great tune to wake up an anxious crowd!

During the TDTH tour I remember Ed dedicating the song to a specific person, but I can't recall who it was. Anybody know?

Also, do you all prefer the album version of the softer (acoustic) version that was very popular for a while?

Great song lyrically and musically. I loved it on the TDTH, I thought the acoustic version was mindblowing in concert, and the "rock" version in concert also one of my all time favorites. A lot of songs I wish I could change a lyric or type of sound, but not on this one. Overall one of their best IMOP off my favorite album of all time..

Are you talking about the one on the single with the piano intro?

If so the order of how I like TSUFL is

1. Concert
2. Accoustic
3. Radio Edit (with the heavier guitar at the begining)
4. Studio Album Cut.

I loved it the first time, and I still do. It was awesome last night in Oslo.
My all time favourite....

My second Favourite Live song of all time mainly because of the Acoustic (piano) version they played in Australia 'at the chapel'. Been trying to get video of it for so long. Ed's voice is really beautiful in this song and takes you to a place away from all the pain in life.

The 'Big Bang' remix is also a great version.

music.gif absolutely love this song, one of the best from TDTH, arguably Live's best offering, though for me it will usually differ inbetween TC, TDTH and SS from time to time, which i'd say personally for me are Live's best 3 albums.

Must love how Chad T just rips into this song during concerts nod.gif and this song has some of Live's best lyrics; "We spend all of our lives, going out of our minds, looking back to our birth, forward to our demise."

oh! and if anyone knows where i could get the radio mix with the heavier guitar intro, and/or the acoustic version of this song, please let me know! victory.gif

I think it was "John Lennon, The Buddah, Jesus Christ, Adi Da (sp?), anybody who's ever stood up for love" was what he said at one show.
