What was the point of the podcast?? You would think they would know that anyone who is listening is clearly just interested if there is an update on Live, and there wasn't.

Well, I guess the update is that they haven't been doing anything to create new music.

I wish Meg would've lit up a cigarette and calmed the fuck down a little. But it's surprising Gracey is (supposedly) a Republican. I figured most, if not all, of the entertainers who came up in the 90s leaned at least moderately progressive, if they weren't all hardcore leftists.

Some of you obviously disagree, but I think it's refreshing that he doesn't drink from the same barrel of kool-aid that a lot of his peers do. Fwiw, it doesn't make someone a worthless piece of shit just because they aren't in lock-step agreement with the editorialized bullshit of CNN. Fuck Fox news? Sure, fine. Let's break out the razor-blade encrusted dildos and get to work. But also fuck CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and CBS while we're at it. Hate Trump? Hey, I get it. I don't like the fucker either. But why have Biden's handlers been hiding his Walking Dead ass for so long? We're just now about to get a debate just over a month before the election? Does anyone really think his dementia having ass is going to be the one actually running the country if he's elected? You were worried about Russia running Trump like a sock puppet, but you're not worried about _____ running Biden like a sock puppet? Maybe the left shouldn't have trotted out Hillary Clinton's used up establishment ass to run against Trump back in 2016. Maybe if they hadn't we wouldn't be stuck between a piece of shit rock and a zombie hard place right now.

As for the virus shit? There has been so much conflicting information out about it and so much hypocrisy surrounding the lockdowns that I don't blame anyone for being skeptical or giving quarter to conspiracy theories. New York's mayor is a damn good example of why people should be at least a little skeptical. The lockdowns were/are treated as holy fucking gospel and many in the entertainment industry have been hit hard with city governments acting like people getting together for a beer and to enjoy a show is almost akin to terrorism. Meanwhile, thousands upon thousands of protesters have been given a wide birth to do as they please, as if social justice nobility and good intentions were a super power that protects you from getting the virus.

I disagree with him that "masks are pointless", but if you're wearing masks because you think it protects you from getting it you're working on bad information. The reason to wear masks is that it hopefully helps to slow down the spread, in case you happen to be someone who has it and don't know it and aren't showing symptoms/being impacted by it. But I'm not going to go all gestapo on someone just because they don't wear a mask. I'll just stay the fuck away from them.


Anyway...

...the podcast was worthless for anything Live-related. I shouldn't have expected anything newsworthy on that front. The pandemic in 2020 didn't stop them from getting creative and putting out a full-fledged album in 2017, 2018, or 2019. It also didn't stop them from getting out and pushing Hold Me Up harder than they did. It didn't stop them from playing mostly radio hits during their tours. It hasn't stopped them from doing a Zoom stream for the fans. But that's just not Live's MO. They have to be the most hands-off band I think I've ever seen that's sold millions of copies of their albums. So fucking weird.
