Saw one of my all time favorite bands, Tesla, in concert this past weekend. It was awesome. It was a mid-sized venue, so not a bad seat in the house. Hadn't seen them in many, many years. The singer, Jeff Keith's, voice isn't what it used to be and after all these years of singing, wouldn't be fair to expect it to. All the guys looking older, but still rocking, 30 years strong. I cried like a baby at this show. cry.gif First time I've ever bawled my eyes out at any of the many concerts I've been to. It's just, their lyrics mean so much more to me even now than when I was a teenager. That, and the fact that I was just so thankful to be there. So lucky these guys are still putting out new music and still touring. Realizing how under appreciated they've always been, but they are still up there giving us all they've got. I doubt anyone on this board listens to Tesla, and I'm probably talking to myself here, but I wanted to post this to also say I'll be feeling the same when I finally get to see Live. They will be even more emotional and special for me to see, if you can begin to imagine.
Music is life.

Hard to believe I’ve seen Līve twice since posting this, and I didn’t enjoy their shows as much as Tesla’s, and in fact, was left disappointed the 2nd time I saw them.

Not with this band. Saw Tesla again this past weekend, and ionce again, it was magical. Cried my eyes out (again) during the ballads; they literally give me chills.

Also, to think, the show wasnt the exact same show I saw 2 or 3 years ago, unlike someone else we know. Ok, during “What You Give,” they used the same pics of them when they were young on their digital screen. but it’s so sweet, I can tell why they leave that part. Also, they always dedicate “Song and Emotion” to Def Lep’s Steve Clark, understandably so. But, deep cuts in the setlist I didn’t hear last time, brand new material played, and they played 17 songs total. Show was about 100 minutes. Jeff Keith, singer, is 60 years old, and appeared a little sick (blowing nose & coughing off to side between songs), but still gave us a 7th game of World Series show. Love them, love them, love them. If you’ve never listened to them, I feel sorry for you... you’ve been missing out for 30 plus years.

Had the pleasure to bump into bassist Brian Wheat after the show, hanging out on San Antonio Riverwalk. Really cool guy & first rock star I’ve met. cool.gif
