Truly great interview. Ed won me over with that interview. He was very humble. Displayed effusive gratitude toward the fans. Smart, funny, polished interview. Addressed the relationship among the band members and that they patched things up. Discussed the connection to York and their beginnings. How it feels like they are kids again, getting it all back. Revelation - Dennis Redman called them at the studio the other day. MMR asked - can he still push his voice to the limit? Answer - yes. He said he has a cold right now (maybe that answers some questions from the other thread?). He does some things differently and has added some dimension. Question about new projects? They are working on new music. Started in the Spring. No hurry to finish a record. They want to get out and play in front of fans. Festivals were specifically mentioned. They may "drop a few things here and there, maybe this year". Question about recording. Answer - the studio in York is unbelievable. It's like a dream when you are a kid. No pressure to put 12 songs on an album. They can get songs to fans in a quicker way. Maybe just release a song.

Overall REALLY great interview. Really great job by Ed.

Don't get excited smile.gif Pokey and Merica will find problems, they are really good at it.

Lol, ridiculous.

As for the interview, aye, things and stuff. Interesting to hear that they got back together in the spring. What's that then, anywhere from January to April (2016)? Just wondering how close it was to the November tour of Oz with Shinn.

Also, Ed sort of alludes to the possibility of releasing a string of individual songs. Pretty sure he was saying something like that around the time of the split as well. I'm very much against that. I want the album experience. The encapsulation of a period of time, the mood, the head space etc.

The fluff about time heals, brothers back together, back in York etc is all perfectly fine. Not enthused by the language that once again pretends The Turn doesn't exist, though. Perhaps understandable cos it's Ed so his focus would be on his own output / not speaking for CCP, but the way he spoke you'd think that whilst he did his solo stuff, absolutely nothing else happened with CCP/Live. There were no questions that touched on coming back in after a solid album with another singer or anything of that nature. Dunno if I expected there to be, but yeah. The pattern of pretending it never happened continues.

But aye, Ed's in PR mode. As he should be.

I wish Ed will once say that he really enjoyed The Turn and thank Chris for filling in but understandably Ed will not perform those songs because he has loads of legendary tunes to sing or Smth like that etc

That would def bring sentimental me back aboard.

One can dream huh

Exactly... jthat would show balls. CCP did some amazing work while I'm gone, and I want to show I can give some input now. Way better lines than to ignore The turn.

Playing festivals like that, they will perform a very safe set with maybe 1-2 new songs. Let's wait, but with these short shows, that is what we will get.

He has allegedly lied quite a bit in the past. He allegedly did it on live network TV during a Leno interview after performing Overcome. What would stop him from lying through his teeth now?

We only want him to acknoledge its existence. If you followed social media the last 2 days, you must be overwhelmed by the positive responses Shinn had with his wise words. So at least just put The turn back in the shelves and say thanks for keeping CCP creatively active for a while.

I don't get why you guys don't get that The Turn has not been banished from the Live catalog forever. It will be listed and made available again at some point, people! Trust me!! You guys are making a mountain out of a molehill.
