According to the site the festival has sold out. Is that true or will they be releasing more tickets closer to the date?

This is the problem with waiting this long to announce shows... You end up with festivals that sold out long before they announced they were part of it.

Hopefully we'll get some headlining shows announced soon.

I hope so too. I hate festivals.

Based on the music festival approach I'm guessing Live will be at Art, Beats and Eats in Michigan this September. They performed at it a while back.

I am surprised at how well Live is placing on these festivals.

s

2015 Rock The Range with Chris Shinn:
They are on the 5th line of the poster, 19th band listed

2017
They are on the 2nd line of the poster, 8th band listed

Huge difference.

I'm not. The reunion gives them a good bump in the public consciousness, and since Live + CS barely got much public attention it's essentially a clean slate for them. They're going to place like a band that hasn't played since 2009 for the next year rather than a band that's been touring with a different line-up for the last four years.

Once the reunion hubbub dies down they'll probably drop back to where they were placing with Shinn for US festivals... Unless they manage to get a hit single, that is.

I think their plan is brilliant. Play festivals to feed off the reunion in 2017. Release an album in 2018 and do a worldwide headlining tour. I think that they will have a strong 2 year run.

The lineup times have been announced.

Here are the times for Friday (Live's performance day)

QUOTE
Monster Main Stage
9:40PM Soundgarden
8:10PM Live
6:30PM Chevelle
4:50PM Bush
3:35PM Of Mice & Men
2:20PM Thrice
1:10PM Beartooth

Looks like Live will get at least 1 hour.

Does anybody know whether AXS TV will be broadcasting ROTR this year?

Edit: I just checked the AXS TV guide and there's nothing being broadcast on Friday or Saturday.

Good thing is - they allow cell phone recording, so we will be getting video one way or another.

Sad news. Chris Cornell has died. Soundgarden was due to headline Friday's ROTR.
