LIVE - Chad, Patrick, Chris and I are numb from learning about the horrible, horrible tragedy in Connecticut. Our children deserve an extended innocence and it is our collective obligation to protect them. On behalf of every LIVE fan we extend our deepest sympathies to the victims of this inexcusable violence. Lightning has crashed without regard to the frail human condition and there will be far too many mothers and fathers crying for their losses. We ask each one of you to contemplate your own lives and consider how you might define a personal creed to do better, to find space and toleration for our mistakes and misgivings. LIVE and its fans will make an immediate commitment to forming a foundation dedicated to the teaching of tolerance and collective understanding. The LIVE we love never had much to do with music. It was always about promoting a deep spiritual bond where we could explore and investigate the human condition. We remain committed to these values and will write and tour with inspired urgency to extend our network of fans who desire music that is more than just a good melody or self indulgent rock n roll. Like each of you, we too have our limitations but were counting on you to push us to new levels and higher expectations - because we need each other!
