Aside than SFBM, has there ever been any other cd that you know of that has had 2 singles released before the cd came out? Maybe SFBM stands on its own as the only one?

I think Let Love In by the Goo Goo Dools might... I remember seeing a video for Better Days back in the winter of last year but the single when the album was released a few weeks ago was Stay With You...

Correct. And although the song had already been released on their live album a couple years ago, "Give a Little Bit" (for some reason) made it onto a proper album in Let Love In, anyway. So if you look at it that way, three singles on that album were released before the CD came out.

Also, the first singles from Collective Soul's Dosage were released simultaneously to Rock and Hot AC formats ("Heavy" and "Run", respectively).

I'm sure there have been some singles from soundtracks that were put on an album that had a diffrent first single. Just guessing, can't think of any off the top of my head.

This kinda thing is commonplace in Japan.

See Dir en grey.

Half of their most recent album was either released as a single or a b-side before the actual CD release.

seems like collective soul released heavy and run at the same time from the dosage cd. heavy went to rock stations & run to pop stations. i could be wrong, though. shrug.gif

Wasn't Run on a soundtrack? Varsity Blues? I thinks thats the kinda thing I was talking about. I can't remember if Run was released as a single from the VB soundtrack or not.
