I don't think they get better with age, no. They were substandard then, and they're substandard now.

No remember, he tried to go rap rock first and that failed.

Hard to put V in the mix, since it wasn't supposed to be an album. But most of the other songs hav enothing to do with rock. Only Simple Creed can have this title. Just the single choices: Simple Creed, Overcome (by fatality, but still), Like a soldier, Heaven, Run away, The river and Mystery...ouff lot of substandard pop songs there.

If being a dad would make me like SFBM and BoP I am just going to get a vasectomy right now.

Spat out my Red Bull right there.

My kids got put to sleep with AC/DC.

There are probably two songs on each of V and BOP that I like or can tolerate. SFBM is another story. It got stuck in my car cd player for about 1/2 a year and I can tolerate more like half the album. Familiarity perhaps?

I did not own a legit copy of TC until recently. I copied it from a library cd years ago. It was in a really crappy, tatty cover when I borrowed it but the picture looked interesting so I borrowed it. I didn't even know who the artist was until about 6 years ago! Anyway, I left the copy (by mistake) in my sisters car about 2 years ago when we went away together. She would never let me play it. She hated it. I saw it in JB HI FI a month or so ago and finally bought a real copy and put it on in the car on the way home. I 'said' to my sister (she wasn't there, but I said it anyway because we had a fight 2 Christmases ago and I don't speak to her anymore), SUCK ON THAT BITCH.

I'm doomed with TC. Karma bit me on the arse yesterday. I still had the cd in my car and hadn't put it on itunes yet. I traded my car in yesterday and I left it in the cd player omg.gif Just glad it wasn't a 6 stacker.

I wouldn't know if they get better with age as I don't listen to them. If I have a kid and suddenly harbour a new found appreciation for Heaven or Love Shines I'll get back on this thread.

I never hated V. its silly and irreverent and that's ok w me.

BoP has moments I enjoy, but I forget it until I purposely listen. SFBM is harder to listen to.
BoP and SFBM r the 2 Live albums I can't ever remember the entire tracklists to. that's says something. I could sing (albeit badly) the first 4 albums and probably V w/o any prompting or accompaniment, but BoP and SFBM never got etched in my brain that way. I don't think I hate them. But I'm not sure I'd miss it if I never heard them again. It's sad that they are so forgettable.

they are substandard. there are noticeable drop-offs.

if anything, I'm less angry about their substandardness (that's s word I just made up) than I once was. probably because CS brings A New Hope. (blatant Star Wars reference). tongue.gif
