This site sure has been quiet lately.. I just checked the Freaks4Live site, thought maybe something would be going on over there. Sadly, just a recent post from someone complaining about his photos being used w/o credit. http://freaks4live.com/forum/topic/copyrighted-image-use

When is that place going to get moving?

Maybe they'll get sued for copyright infringement. smile.gif

Poster is also frustrated about the contact...you can never find contact info on that site.

The best band in the world has the worst website ever.

websites need alot of attention, and updating, searching for ways to make them better, you want action. views, visits, etc

updating, new topics, pictures, teaser videos, I only know this from doing our snowmobile website, have to have people coming back AND a reason to come back, I dont care if you give a tshirt away a month contest, vaddie vaddie

Im sure we stated a Vbulletin style would make it more "user friendly"

I havent gone on the site much, maybe I should start

its up to US to go there, hang, tell friends and build it to its potential, that will take time

Thanks for this constructive and insightful post, I was just wondering what your thoughts on the matter might be!

Hopefully the site receives a bit more attention at album time from the people running it, maybe actually giving someone the specific job of keeping it updated would help. First way to start though is changing the forums to a better and more usable format, if they had a place that was appealing to use and some of us actually went there after that and began using it then the increase in traffic on the site might prompt them to remember about it and pay some more attention to it.

I agree that they need to improve that site. They are my favorite band in the world. But some times (maybe often) they are great despite themselves. It is way too often that they fail to execute or crash on the launch pad. Image how great it could be if they executed stuff like a finely-tuned media machine.

The website is a prime example of how they need to execute better.

Cleanup time. Keep it on topic.

For those who have comprehension problems, the topics are:

1. The lack of updates on the Freaks4Live.com website
2. Freaks4Live using photos without the permission of the copyright owner.

Actually it's up to the people in charge of the site to give us a reason to go there, hang, and tell friends. Right now I'd put the excitement on par with edkowalczyk.com

Let's face it - this is the best website these guys have, right here at fansoflive.com . I don't think the exciting website idea is ever going to take off with this band.

And ... I don't know who they hired for TGF website, but the design alone is way better than the Live site.

I work for a website, and I can tell you that their time is best spent on social media and other avenues than on a major website. A website these days needs to be an easy to navigate record (like a blog for posts, videos, music, etc.) and no more than that. The best designs out there today are a single page that is linked to social media.

It just needs to be crisp, compact, and easy to navigate (what little pages there actually need to be to begin with).

I know you support CCP. me too. I know it's hard work to let a site work properly. But that site sucks as hard as Dream Theather.

Agree with most of the posters here. I think that they should have used the recording sessions that they had to connect a little more with the fans. They haven't used Twitter or Facebook that much about what is upcoming. It is my favorite band, yes, but still we can be critical sometimes about some stuff. And for me they need to deliver soon. I know I'll like the new record, but we've been promised more than only a new record.

I take offense to the Dream Theater post. John Petrucci would implode your face with his Bear-like guitar powers.
