This happened a while ago (after her death, though) but here it is if you hadn't seen it.

Hadn't seen it... Cornell can still belt it out though! Not nearly as good as any cover I have heard Ed or Live do.

Are you smoking the crack rock? Cornell might have the best voice in rock over the last 20 years. EK wishes he had half the voice that Chris Cornell has.

No... Live and Ed's covers are great. Blowin' in the wind was well done and so were older covers like running to stand still or supernatural. It IS possible to prefer shinn to Ed solo but to admit that Ed still has a good voice today and in the past. Hating on Pre-V live covers doesn't make you more of a fan... perhaps it makes you less of a fan.

Ed had a very brief moment in the 90's when he was at his peak. He was very good then but not as good as Cornell. He also had the benefit of CCP helping arrange most of their covers. Cornell is still bringing it. Ed, well, we all know what he's up to these days. Here's another great Cornell cover.

... I don't like this cover either! At this point I was like "Is Cornell just bad live?" but I looked up one of my favorite songs by him and that is NOT true at all. Love it.

I've seen Cornell live playing solo acoustic once many years ago and he is mind blowingly incredible.

I haven't seen Ed yet so can't compare them but I don't think I would care to compare them anyway because I like them both  uniquely lol.gif

Like a lot. Don't particularly like Witney's version...this one I could listen to.

Not too many of Ed's covers that I like....would have liked to hear a couple of Pearl Jam once upon a time but now he would probably just wreck the crap out of them.

I thought the Supernatural cover was epic. The rest of the covers Live did I thought were okay. Also, I have seen Cornell live and solo. It doesn't get any better. It was just flat out incredible and was about 4 hours long.

Here are some of his better covers:

Have you heard his acoustic versions of some of the Scream songs?
