Ok well I've never worn earplugs to concerts besides when I was like 7 years old. But I'm thinking about starting especially for some bands, and one in particular....LIVE. They are so ridiculously loud that I'm pretty sure I've lost some hearing after seeing so many of their shows. I go to probably 15-25 diffrent shows a year and I really believe its starting to effect my hearing. So I'm just curious how many people actually care about their hearing and wear them?

Anyway can't wait for tonight...woot Electric Factory. rockin.gif

Have fun losing your sense of hearing.

I've never worn'em myself, but then again I've only been to one rock show due to money issues.

Same. I'm glad I live somewhere that its never completely quiet because when I go to my parent's place I can't sleep because I can actually hear the ringing in my ears. lol But god damn the bands I've seen have been so worth it!

Everyone always tells me you can hear the music better WITH earplugs because it drowns out the drunken crowd chatter.

I'd rather sacrifice a little bass than go deaf.

That's just me.

I go to so many shows AND I have ear issues so yeah, I wear them. And yeah, sometimes it does sound better with them. You filter out some of the distortion and crap and hear the music just fine. And some crowd noise unless they're really obnoxious like the people behind me last night.

I'm deaf in my left ear, so I always wear them at the beginning of the show, but they usually don't stay in very long. I should leave them in the whole time...hell, actually I shouldn't even be at the shows. But I don't know, I don't go to shows all that often, and I think they sound much better without earplugs. I always get kinda freaked out though, cause after show, I can't hear a fucking thing. I'm always scared my hearing won't return.

I've never even thought of it to be honest. I don't go to that many gigs. I saw the Chili Peppers in a stadium a couple of years back and I was fine as it was open air and we were in the seats a way back from the stage. A month later I saw Live in a tiny venue and I was deaf for about 3 days afterwards! Like Pheezy said, it's a bit scary wondering if your hearing is going to come back.
