I gotta say I'm excited about this. DWLF is likely the top recording I have heard from Ed since the split. Ed and Electronic-eastern music belong together, he just doesn't realize it yet. Other board members may not like DWLF but everyone can agree that Ed needs some other direction to go with his music and this is probably the best one he has at this point.

I like the song - I just think they lyrics are garbage. I'd be interested in hearing some remixes.

I wonder if he is remixing Alive songs, EP songs, or god forbid old Live songs that will get held up in court.

Ed told me at Mohegan Sun that he wanted to remix some songs and make the EP 10 tracks. My guess would be Alive songs.

That one line in the song that goes "if you didn't bite dick you'd be a waiting child" isn't good at all. I get the symbolism of the song that the world is crap but you can be like a tranquil lotus flower despite the dirty water of the world.

10 tracks! That's like 2 away from a full album. I should think like 2 or 3 would be alive with the rest as new stuff.

Why not put Eat Your Love and A New World on the EP along with Dirty Water, Lotus Flower? That would be 8 songs right off the bat.

Good idea Nick.

Another question, will the EP be released on CD or online only (Itunes, Amazon etc)?

If Ed will release it on CD, i have the songs Eat your Love and A New World, but would love to have them on CD.

I honestly have no idea. I would guess that he will have a physical album to sell at shows. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, and when it actually gets released.

Soon in LIVE time is a very general term. smile.gif

Sounds like he wants his EP to sell for the price of an album without having to write an entire album.

I just hope it drops before the snow.

I think Hoodie meant before winter. I'm sure the southern hemisphere is all like "wut??"

Kudos to us for having a civilized Ed Thread!! This reminds me of that time we had a religious discussion without it erupting.

Anyways, I took the time to listen to Mr. Kursh Ka-lay's stuff and it sounds like yoga music. DWLF sounds better than the 5 songs I listened to. It totally fits the TDTH sound at least.

i know I'm alone in this, but I maintain that that lyric is "your divine destiny is waiting, child"

either way, I would enjoy ed and Mr kale working together more.
