I laughted at this. I tried for a long time not to admit Ed was a Christian artist. But even after SFBM came out and I played it for my wife, she said "that sounds like church music".

Most friendships eh, is there statistics to prove this, I just have a hard time believing anyone with this attitude would have any friends at all. A 20 plus year friendship to me is something that seems pretty strong, not something most would just throw away. Then again who am I to question the person who seems to always have a rebuttal.

Yes and there is always a cause to this, usually one person does something so bad that it forces the break. In this case it was EK's lies and stealing.

Because maybe they're more into practicing forgiveness than the Christian man is.

I love how "no one has to be at fault" when the noose starts to tighten around Ed. There are 2 sides to every break up, doesn't mean that both sides are equal. Ed's side could be completely and utterly misguided and ridiculous, where as CCP's side seems to basically fit the time line and suspicions many of us have had for years. The "two sides" argument doesn't suddenly absolve one side of any wrong doings.

I think though that given your views on the world as a money hungry materialistic kind of person, you're probably the last person we should be listening to friendship advice and information from.

Once again we have someone who is directly connected to the situation telling us how things are, but you know better.
And what's your evidence behind this? That he said one thing which isn't exactly accurate, therefor everything he says can't be trusted. Lest i remind you a certain E. Kowalczyk - "I've never done anything dishonest". If you're gonna go down that road. You yourself admitted you were wrong with your "no noticeable drop offs" comment, does that also mean you're wrong about everything else?

You know I try to be rational, but you are just a complete ass. There is no middle ground for you.....it seems with you it's: conquer, rape, loot, and plunder in all aspects of life. I'm excited that someday I'll want to see him solo (though the I Alone tour name is irritating beyond imagination - it's almost like he wants to piss people off). But he's not perfect. No one is. And no one claims that anyone is - except you!

All that matters is that, come Monday, Live is back - like it or not - in its new form. If you don't like it - cool beans. Move on. But what the hell, man? I am SOOOO excited that my favorite band is making music again. yeah, maybe my first reaction was "whoa... not without Ed..." but you know what? I'm not the smartest person on earth, and I don't know everything (unlike you) so sometimes, my initial reaction is WRONG. And since I've realized that, unlike a toddler, I can't just throw a tantrum to try to get what I want... these grown men are moving in the direction they want their lives to go. No matter what I want. And after reading and seeing and HEARING some of what they're working on as Live, I'm PUMPED!!! I've accepted that this is what's REAL. And I'm excited for it. And who knows, maybe I'll hear it and think "ew" but I doubt it. Because I love PD on bass. And I really enjoy CG without the cage. I and DO LOVE the stomp!!! So the voice - well, I'll either love or it not. We'll see. But I sure as shit will not wish these guys ill.

Ed is doing his own thing. Happy Ed. Enjoy your life. CCP & ? are doing THEIR thing. They are allowed to call it LIVE and that's what they've done and I'm totally geared up for it.

I did not mean to derail this happy thread in pointing out how petty, hypocritcal and ridiculous Ed is for not responding to CCP but has no problem communicating when it suits his charity. I would like to make one more point though.

All you folks that said it was ridiculous for CCP to have the Thrill give Ed a message because "they should have done it themselves" can now apologize. It is now obvious that CCP tried and got ignored by the great EK. Instead of leaving it at that they decided to try to send a message with a friend who happened to be going to an Ed show. We all know how that ended. CCP clearly have tried to communicate with his majesty, the EK, and in his infinite christian wisdom he has decided to completely ignore his friends and bandmates of 20+ years.

Again, sorry for derailing this wonderful thread.

It's really simple when you break it down - there is one chance for his man to make money money and get more fame and notoriety, and that's joining back up with Live, and Live reforming without him is hurting those chances, so Nick is extremely bitter about that and is going to do whatever he can to upset the apple cart. It is absolutely childish.

He really needs to just move the fuck on and stop acting like a crazy bitter ex-wife who won't stop harassing the ex-partner and his new family. If he can't move on, then just ban him and force him to move on.

I really hope that some kind of recording, even if its just a song or two come out of this show on Monday, although who knows what their plan is. They may want to hold off on what the new singer will sound like with the band until the actual album is out and this might come out after that.

No no no man you got it all wrong, see the Thrill LIED about everything, like it's absolute undisputed proof that the entire thing is a fabrication and CCP NEVER tried to contact Ed. You know how we know this? Because Thrill got a little carried away and assumed more people may have heard of Chirs Shinn than they actually have. It makes perfect sense, the 2 things are completely connected like a finely written movie script. I don't know how we missed this!!
