So far Ed has used a couple of drummers on tour. First there was Ramy Antoun and then Cory Heerlein replaced him for certain dates.

According to a Facebook post by "Sabian" (the Cymbal manufacturer), Ed will be using another drummer on his Canadian tour this month.

Solo artist is not tied to any supporting musicians. Constantly changing up the band will lead to perhaps even more lessened quality. And I mean, no continuity and it has no bearing if the musician is great, it's about PRACTICE!!!!

What do you call a guy who sits behind plexiglass, hangs out with musicians and loses his job more frequently than he changes underwear...

So you are saying that The Gracious Few's concert in March should suck since they haven't played a show together in nearly a year?

I'm interested to see what this new drummer brings to the table, he was worked with many talented musicians.

where do I give consideration to your assumption? I am talking about ever changing band members and need to practice.

TGF band practice has occured as late as last week.

Ed has had the same bass player and lead guitarist for the past 2 years. I'm pretty sure that James Gabbie and Chris Heerlein has twice as many shows with Ed, than Kevin Martin does with CCP.

How much/often they get to practice together is a pretty silly argument. Different bands work better in different situations, how often one band practiced might work for one but not the other, you can't really compare these 2.

A change of drummer can only be a good thing for Ed, anything to keep Ramy away. Not that I really care, but surely that's better for Ed.

I make a comment on continutity and you get all bent around the axle. Now you're making comparisons about how many shows between ed & tgf..............holy jesus lord.

You go from place to place like a vagabond with your digressions.

I don't even see why this matters, if you've played drums for a year or two you can play any drum part on Ed's album.

Oh wait...

just to expand on this, a great session drummer/musician can play a vast variety of music at all/most levels of difficulty and is quick to connect with other musicians. Looking at his credentials, it seems like this guy is more than capable of playing Ed tunes.

I mean from shelby lynne to steve vai?

Not that I cared for this rammy dude (the creep factor was ahhh) but I looked into him and he is a lot better of a drummer than he shows on Ed's music (obviously cause that's what ed's music called for/Ed wanting that way) Not my taste but I will not blast the guy (anymore hehe, I jumped on that wagon a few times before too) just cause he is playing with Ed.
Some of you just want to say he sucks because he is/was playing with Ed and you are still butthurt about the whole thing or don't know any better as far as drumming goes. I am only speaking of his technical abilities as a drummer here. Not what he looks like or how he plays Live songs. But that there goes into the whole objective/subjective debate where I learned long ago is a debate that can never end.

I wonder if the drummers were fired or if they left because they were bored to hell?
