I would say Tom Waits would be more of an avantgarde musician. Good track though.

Downloaded the file.
Listen to it this evening, when I'm home.
Looking forward to the sound.

this shoulda been on the album. Make All I Hear an official song and the album closer (coz its one of the best and shouldve been a single with a video cut to images of the arab spring uprisings making it timely and anthemic) get rid of sing and make this one the hidden track. ahh that woulda been perfect!!!

Great track! The baritone sax is an awesome touch too. Did they record this track in Pat's studio? Bring on more TGF and +LIVE+...now - damn it! Gracious indeed...

I like it. I think this is a great sound for KM.

Reminds me a little of "He Calls Home" from their first album.

Great houses do fall...

I like that they put this song out a few hours after I ran screaming from a high rise building like a little girl following the earth quake on the East Coast.

Love the song. Love the guys who gave it to us. Love the band. Love the spirit of sharing free music. Love the blues. Love it! Thank you.

I don't know how much the stuff on these boards gets back to the band but if anyone is listening it is gestures like this (releasing songs) that make fans like me follow them more and buy albums and tell others about them.

It may not be measurable but I think things like this can greatly impact and grow a fanbase. It ends up being a bonus for everyone. The band gets recognition and future earnings and the fans get a great track that could impact them in more ways than anyone knows.

It beats having a great song sit on the shelf for years where few, or no one, really benefits from it *cough, Hold Me Up, cough*.

And for what it is worth I just sent that track to a friend who went and bought the album. So I am quoting myself to prove myself right.

Duh. Winning.

This has been my favorite TGF song since I first heard it at The Chameleon Show. I really love the Cinci recording I have. I might actually still prefer the live version, but then again I love the studio recording as well.

Here is what I posted on Memphis Hennesy's facebook last night:

after hearing the track tonight, i went back and listened to my cincy recording from last october and that front porch stuff was just brilliant. my favorites were "nothing but love" and this one.

I (too) like the live version more, the slide guitar does it for me. Anyone have a date as to when this was recorded? Early 2010, or Spring 2011?

I believe this finished version was mixed this spring.

The free download is awesome. Great song.

After listening to the studio version though I find myself liking the 2 Meter Sessions version better. Seems to have more soul in my opinion.

Wondering what you guys thought.
