The last year I am starting to drink a glass of Whiskey now and then.

So far I have tasted 4 different one;

1. Glen Fiddich (12 year old, single malt), which tasted great and mild with a little pear,...
2. Chivas Regal (12 year old, blend), not one I will buy again.....
3. Glen Moray (12 year old, single malt), another great mild fruity whiskey,...
4. Glenlivet (12 year old single malt), bought this one, yesterday, and I am tasting this today,...lovely with a little sherry and honey,....hmmmm....lovely too
5. The Singleton (12 year old, single malt), another lovely whiskey with a little fruitness added to it.
6. Isle of Jura (10 year old, single malt),...great whiskey, a little fruitness and saltyness, a bit stronger taste at the end.

What is your experience with whiskey, and which kinds do you like?

glenfiddich and all the other single malts are lovely but rarely do i spend the money them. Johnny walker black label does the trick just fine for me and is somewhat affordable.

I had to go to Wikipedia, because I wasn't sure whether there is a difference between whiskey and scotch. Apparently, Scotch is Scotch Whiskey and it is a whiskey. So I'll play along. I like single malt scotches. Specifically, I enjoy Macallans and Balvenie. I usually keep a bottle around the house. Sometimes, I will have some Jameson Special Reserve or Crown Royal Black around.
