What I love about Matt Smith is that he doesn't seem to be acting in Dr Who, that's just how he is ... any interviews or backstage clips or whatever and he's just exactly the same, you can tell he's having the time of his life in that role and it really helps.
I like that Moffat ties everything together so well and that there is actually multi-season spanning arcs now, Davies just tied everything together in the first season (2005 with Eccleston) with the words "Bad Wolf" popping up and vague hints that barely worked.
The fact that Moffat had people guessing whether something as innocent looking as a wardrobe malfunction on the show was actually a major plot point was brilliant. Without spoiling it unless you've not seen it but talking about the Angels episode from season 6 where Amy has her eyes closed and The Doctor tells her she has to remember. He'd taken his jacket off moments earlier but suddenly in this shot you could only see his hands gripping her and you could see the sleeve of his jacket. Most put it down to a wardrobe malfunction that he was without it, then he suddenly had it back, but instead it was one of so many subtle things that meant something.

With reality TV good shows are seeming harder and harder to find. Hero's was the last show I really watched and it seemed to get worse each season.

I really want to see HBO's mini-series "The Pacific" but haven't had a chance to see it yet.
