"Stand" debut at #49 on the America's Music Charts "Active Rock" chart.

49 ED KOWALCZYK Stand

"Stand" has a whopping 96 spins nationwide this week. It's the only song on the chart that you cannot click on to listen to.

I don't know how "Active Rock" is different from "Rock", but that's the one he's on (as of the week of 5/17/11).

Active Rock is the biggest rock format on the US charts. Mainstream rock is the smaller chart.

... and is actually moving up? 4 spots higher and now a link to a sample of the song. This thing has turtle legs, but legs none the less.

95% of the bands on that chart have another band on the chart that sounds just like them.

Thats the problem today, listen to the radio hear the songs on rock, you can listen for an hour and hear 3-4 that sound like the same band.

I got in the car the other day and the Philly radio station came on and Stand by Ed was playing. I almost freaked out. I haven't listened to the album in a while and I just really wasn't expecting to hear Ed on the radio. It was a total surprise and was actually pretty cool to hear our bald-headed solo artist getting some radio play time.

Philly is a pretty big market. I have to say I heard a DJ rip on Alive (mentioned in a previous thread somewhere) but I haven't had the chance to hear an Alive song on the radio yet.

The Rise Is Over? Just like Ed's acceptance on this board - there seemed to be a little run of optimism, and now with his interview it's all going downhill again.

Dropped now to #46

46 45 ED KOWALCZYK Stand
