Wish I could reply to this now, damn work. I haven't even heard the interview, but do I need to?Doubt it. I'm pretty sure Kevin is his usual stand up guy and all this uproar about what he said is just the usual fishing for something to say to diminish TGF. What's getting old is this tactic of trying to diminish TGF to somehow make Ed look better. Like I said in the Ed thread, where's the love for Ed? Is that all you got, tear down TGF? Sorry, doesn't make Ed look any better.

KM didn;t clam up. It's not his MO.

"I just want to talk about my music and my new album and being happy, thats all" - Kevi .. oh no wait, that was Ed.

Who is currently the most successful living person in music? Paul Mccartney? Imagine the shit he can get away with in Nick's eyes!

He could be a pediphilic serial murderer and that would be all good in the hood.

I happen to think that the word of 3 individuals, a court document, and the ultimate dissolving of the band Live is pretty clear cut evidence against the bald one. I imagine that you don't agree, right?

its a big start but not sufficient to point the finger. There's still a little thing called discovery, and then of course potentially a trial. who knows, maybe this summer we'll get some conviction.

I'm not trying to get into that discussion, did you read the whole conversation? It isn't enough for a conviction, no, but it is enough for me to draw a conclusion, just like Nick has already drawn a conclusion about Kevin Martin. That was the point of what I was saying.

ha fair enough...I thought you were being literal when you asked if someone agreed with your statement, opening discussion. But, as you say, if you feel like drawing conclusions like Nick then I get your point.

Kevin has a unique voice that you either love or hate....
I was a bit unsure in the beginning of TGF, because I never much listened to Candlebox back then
I do now listen to them and enjoy their music..
Kevin's voice is perfect for TGF and his style
...I think he has a real good voice and if you sing...just try once
to hit the notes he does...it ain't easy! no.gif
..he is also a friendly, thumbsup.gif likeable guy when you meet him he will go out of his way for you

It isn't really that I do draw those conclusions, it's that I could if I wanted to. I also have far more evidence for that than he does for his "KM is a douchebag" conclusion. Alright, not going to derail this thread anymore, just wanted to make sure people knew what I was saying.

Back in the discussion, KM has some serious pipes. I imagine that people who don't like his voice are also not big fans of Zeppelin, Queen, etc. Not that he is as good as those guys (I know he would say he isn't), but it is a similar style. It is an acquired taste for those not used to it.

He is also an extremely nice guy who really makes an effort with the fans and responds to e-mails whenever he can. If it weren't for him doing that several of us wouldn't have been able to see TGF soundcheck on their tour, which was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

haha..man i guess i must have misunderstood...i thought you might have possibly made a conclusion when you said: "I happen to think that the word of 3 individuals, a court document, and the ultimate dissolving of the band Live is pretty clear cut evidence against the bald one."

...but if that is not a conclusion you were making at the time then so be it.

But you're definitely right that you could draw that conclusion if you wanted to. I suppose we could all draw a conclusion about anything.

And you also may be right that inconclusive evidence about one thing does make a conclusion more correct than a subjective opinion about another thing.

It's rather inconclusive if that's conclusive of a conclusion.

Yes this is what happens when you take things out of context.
