I'm VERY surprised they let this on the TV. angry.gif

VH1 obviously didn't know about how Ed stole from his bandmates and lies his way through things.

No twisting my comment! I see Alive as doing worse than SFBM in the charts and that's why I am surprised. Musically, it is better than SFBM though. I wonder what Ed beat out to get on Vh1 bounce.gif

Hey, although I'm not one for stereotypes... check who commented on the video.

Out of 6 it's 5 women and 1 'unknown'; coincidence, surely not. Guess they just like Ed cos he goes Chippendale.

laugh.gif I think it's fairly obvious who the non-female commenter is.

Hopefully this site isn't full of "male chauvanists"

What difference does it make whether females posted, males, or both? The reference to VH1 being for middle-aged women also.

Just wondering, as comments along these lines won't threaten me personally. Believe me, I hold my own with both sexes in an argument or life in general. Just would hate to see other females hesitate to be involved here or with any Ed K site or TGF.

It's not, just has a few too many comments that aren't intended to be a slam on women but come off as such.

The reason you see a lot of Ed/women comments is that's been the fan demographic he's historically been the most interested in. It's sort of a running joke.

That and it's a big fan demographic that's interested in him. I still think it was hilarious that time I checked out his facebook and after he posted something, the first 25 odd responses were all women, and Nick lol. I think I posted the screen cap somewhere.

They are often referred to as "cougars". A true cougar is a female in her middle years and normally considered to be "very hot" in appearance. They often are quite well-off financially.

Like or dislike him, David Cook's win on Idol and launch of a very financially successful music career was handed to him by his Cougar base. They even had a website which, I think, was called Cougars for David Cook or something like that.

And as for Ed and his female fanbase, that would not surprise me at all. I'm sure you realize that many women are attracted to men lacking in hair on their head. Bald, I think it is called. If the guy has good features and can carry it off, the bald look, that is, he probably won't ever be hurting in finding a female companion.

When I saw them in Hammond, Indiana in 2006, there was a lot of chemistry on stage between Ed and the attractive female nurse who handled his case when he required treatment at the hospital, thus a very delayed appearance by Live.......

Admin controls. It tells you the demographics of people signed to the page.

Doesn't change the fact that Ed is still "rock" the way people consider Bon Jovi to be "rock", it's the sort of rock that the middle aged secretaries at work seem to think is about as heavy and as rockin' as you can get and somehow think that listening to it makes them attractive 21yr olds. Well that's the vibe I get anyways. I can hear them now in that horrible nasely bogan accent "aww yeah I loyke LOYYYVE, and Loytneen Crashes, i loyke to rock out with moy chickies to Grace and then pick the kiddies up from school". *shudders*

Yeah right!

And even if it were true, I guarantee those male members are fans from their earlier works not this current crap that Ed's been floating around.

Look at the posts. All of the posts are middle aged women and Nick.
