I feel your hatred for V......I did for the longest time. But its really not that bad. Superb production and arrangement. Great drum guitar and bass. Not really rock and roll, but the overall tone is love-filled, bright and inspiring.

Yeah, I can't escape my love for V. In all it's cheesy glory, I still dig it.

I've said it many times, musically there are some decent songs on V. Unfortunately, they're ruined the second Ed opens his mouth. His voice and his lyrics are flat out brutal on the album.
