Haha when Cartman insists that Tolkin can play Bass because he's black even though he's never played it before, maybe like:

Ed: come on man play drums with me!
Ramy: but I've never played drums! I don't know what to do!
Ed: just try it, I bet you can!
*Ramy "drums"*
Ed: oh... Damn you're right you can't.... Oh well you're cheap and work for cupcakes so you're in! lol.gif

True. And I also know what the next cover art will look like.

Eat your Love almost made the list but I don't know what "Eat your Love" means? "how do you eat it? how can you hold it? where do you get it out of? Does it mean you eat some ones love then eventually shit it out? is it a canibal pop song? Maybe "Feel your Love" or "I got your love right here!" could've been better title. J/K (folks). I like the intro to the song with distorted voice. There are parts in some songs that are cool, Makes me think if he worked on it a little longer, nah....

LC

it's a song about Communion. the rite of eating the bread and drinking the wine is (depending on whether or not you're Catholic) either literally eating the body of Christ and drinking His blood, or a memorial ritual. Either way, since Christ's death was an act of love on His part the act of eating during communion is literally eating God's love for us. (not preaching, just explaining).

I think, sonically, Eat Your Love is awesome. Lyrical (while I appreciate it as a Christian) it's a far cry from Ed's heroic work as a lyricist from MJ, TC, SS, and TDTH.
I still think the song should've been on the standard album, and not just an overseas bonus. It's a great song.

There was always that explanation? Still I think it still needed a little work. Ed did write Lightning Crashes and several spiritual songs that I enjoy, "But Eat your love" is man style!

I have been listening to Willie Nelson's new album Heroes. It is really pretty awesome. Anyway, the reason that I am mentioning it here is that if anyone wants to hear a Christian-themed song that is well-written and creatively and artistically conceived, take a listen to Come On Up To The House. Ed's best effort on Alive doesn't even come close to this song.

I am not anti-Chirtian music. I am anti-bad-Christian-music.

Along the same lines as the above quote...

It really is amazing how bad the album is, especially lyrically.

I mean, with a giant book of complex metaphors and parables, words and phrases of power, weakness, strength, agony, greatness, failure, passion, revenge, love, darkness, light etc etc etc etc etc (etc) Ed comes up with the most bland lyrics possible.

By comparison, most hymns out there make it look like a 4 year old wrote the lyrics for Ed.

I mean, honestly, if you like his new music, and not just Ed because he is Ed, there is so much more out there in that genre that is leaps and bounds better in every way.

If you like his new just because he is Ed, well, good luck.

Yeah I personally never understood how the fans can claim to like his new music just because they are a fan of his older work. His music is not good.
