Just curious, what song from the new album do you think has the potential to be a hit single?

Clearly a lot of us (myself included) don't really care whether or not Live has mainstream success or not, so please don't flame this thread with "who cares?" comments, etc.

I'm just interested in what you all think about the catchiness of the new songs. Obviously, the most "catchy" song is not necessarily the best song -- but it is often the one that has the biggest potential commercial success.

After listening to SFBM enough to get a good feel for it, I'm going to have to go out on a limb and answer...

Home

Though a lot of people on here seem to really dislike the song, I think it would do very well on radio. Very strong chorus, relevant lyrics (though I'm not sure how I feel about the whole soldier/war thing being overdone), and catchy as hell. I also really like how the song starts.

Oh, and it's not about love, happiness, or Ed's children. lol.gif

I'd say Mystery, Show, Love Shines are all catchy enough for radio singles. But I haven't listened to it that frequently wink.gif

Truthfully...I think "Wings" would be a great single. I really do think its a great song - memorable.

Night of nights is a great song, but I'm not sure it would do that well on the radio. My other choice would be "Mystery"

I vote for wings, but it is my favorite from the album. At least everyone in Boston heard it on my way home Thursday. You gotta love beautiful weather and convertibles . . .

I'd have to say Wings or Show would be the only 2 choices in my opinion. Mystery wasn't bad before they blew it up with those strings. Now, I just think it would make people laugh.

If it were up to me? I'd have led off the releases with Show and followed it up with Wings.
