So it seems people can get a FREE cd-single of 'Grace' at the "Free Record Shop" stand on Pinkpop (this weekend). Will there be any other 'real' cd-singles in shops or whatever at all?

Jeez, lots of people are going to pick up on that. Maybe he wants to disguise it as an REM cover album, or just an REM album in general and he'll have a silhouette of a bald head on the cover.

For those who feel The Gracious Few are 100% original with their titles, let's check on Appetite:

http://www.last.fm/music/Usher/_/Appetite

OMG! Everyone is going to think they're covering Usher!

Well, at least no one has ever called a song "Honest Man" before... oh wait...

http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Hon...82570A900122418

Or something really close to Honest Man:

http://www.elyrics.net/read/j/john-mellenc...man-lyrics.html

OMG! The Gracious Few is going to be confused with John Mellencamp!!

OMG! Breaking news! Honest Man is ALSO the title of a documentary about R. Budd Dwyer, that politician who shot himself in the head during a news conference!

Everyone is going to think TGF is R. Budd Dwyer!!!!

Seriously, THIS is your problem with Ed?? Unless TGF comes up with an album full of titles NO ONE has ever used before, I hope to see you bashing them for being unoriginal, too.

Product Description
Ed Kowalczyk, widely known as the Lead singer/frontman/guitarist of the band Live, has built an impressive résumé that includes eight full-length albums, total CD sales exceeding 20 million, a huge international fan base and extensive touring all over the world. Live has been one of the most successful and enduring alternative rock bands of the 1990s and 2000s. 'Alive,' is Ed's first solo album that immediately ignites with his instantly recognizable vocals and trademark lyrics taking the listener to the place where they discovered the power of Live's music and urgency in Ed's voice.

Looks like it's the US release. SA will probably get the European version, especially if a DVD is included - interesting to note that the DVD is not mentioned in the US release. Has that been shelved now?

Perhaps checking the barcode on Google?

I always wonder, how many of those sales were for the first 4 albums? Anyone know for sure?

They have been saying exceeding 20 million in sales since after TDTH. Just got to remember that could be anywhere from 20,000,000 to 29,999,999. I'm not saying they sold 30 million records, but there is a 10 million copy gap that they could have sold in total.

The DVD may only be a European thing, as it was never confirmed or even talked about I don't think for the US release.

You kinda missed the point

The fact that Ed has 3 songs all of the same name as one singular other band is just a bit strange, and I'm sure coincidental even though he likes REM.

I personally don't have a problem with it, my bigger problem is just that they sound like lame song titles and I'd say the same for them when it comes to REM. Although I'm sure I'll like REM's songs much more than Ed's.

By the way, Candlebox accidentally stole a song title from REM, too!

For the record, I also agree it's funny that Ed -- for reasons I'm sure only he understands -- has three different tracks on his album with the same names as REM tracks. I just think it's a dumb thing to criticize him for.

By the way, I found the REAL track listing for his new album:

DISC ONE:

1. The Trouble With Love Is
2. Miss Independent
3. Low
4. Some Kind Of Miracle
5. What's Up Lonely
6. Just Missed The Train
7. Beautiful Disaster
8. You Thought Wrong
9. Thankful
10. Anytime
11. A Moment Like This
12. Before Your Love

DISC TWO:

1. Pop Song 89
2. Get Up
3. You Are the Everything
4. Stand
5. World Leader Pretend
6. Wrong Child
7. Orange Crush
8. Turn You Inside-Out
9. Hairshirt
10. I Remember California

Umm, I bet the DVD will include his performance with an orchestra then?
